Basenji Fanciers of Greater Phoenix

There will be no club meeting for the month of August. We will have a general meeting in September. The Specialty Committee has been working on the plans for our Specialty on Friday, October 19, 2001. It is being held in conjunction with the Kachina Club All-Breed Show and is being held at Estrella Park in West Phoenix. We will have more details for everyone in the next newsletter. The information and entry forms have been sent out. If you did not receive one and want one, please contact Nancy Wilson at 480-949-5389. We now have the quilt raffle tickets available. You should have by now received, via e-mail, a picture of this beautiful quilt and information on how to obtain your tickets. We are asking everyone who receives this letter or is on our e-mail list, be you a club member, or not, to offer your help at this Specialty. We will be serving a picnic-style lunch, so we need help with this, plus ring side help. If you can give us your help on the 19th, please contact the Specialty Chairman, Joan Koppin, at 480-832-0091 and let her know in what area you could help. We are still looking for immediate help in the area of advertising, as well. Time is short and we need your help. This is our first local Specialty and it can be a success with help from every Basenji Fancier in the area. Please call Joan and offer your help. It will be appreciated.
