The quality of mercy is not strain'd,
It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven
Upon the place beneath: it is twice blest;
It blesseth him that gives and him that takes:
'Tis mightiest in the mightiest: it becomes
The throned monarch better than his crown;
His sceptre shows the force of temporal power,
The attribute to awe and majesty,
Wherein doth sit the dread and fear of kings;
But mercy is above this sceptred sway;
It is enthroned in the hearts of kings,
It is an attribute to God himself;
And earthly power doth then show likest God's
When mercy seasons justice.
William Shakespeare
The Merchant of Venice
The one who says I have come to know Him,
And does not keep His commandments is a liar;
And the truth is not in him.
1 John 2:4
This is my commandment,
That you love one another
As I loved you.
John 13:34
If someone says, I love God,
And hates his brother, he is a liar;
For the one who does not love his brother
Whom he has seen,
Cannot love God
Whom he has not seen.
1 John 4:20
Moreover, if your brother shall trespass against you,
Go and tell him his fault
Between you and him alone;
If he shall hear you,
You shall have gained your brother.
Matthew 18:15
For if you forgive others
For their transgressions,
Your Heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Matthew 6:14
But if you do not forgive others,
Then your Father will not forgive your transgressions.
Matthew 6:15
For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
Neither are your ways My ways,
Says the Lord.
Isaiah 55:8
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.
Isaiah 55:9
For I know the plans I have for you,
Declares the Lord,
Plans to prosper you and not to harm you,
Plans to give you a hope and a future.
Jeremiah 29:11
A PRAYER OF SAINT FRANCIS OF ASSISI
Lord, make me an instrument of Thy peace;
Where there is hatred, let me sow love
Where there is injury, pardon
Where there is doubt, faith
Where there is despair, hope
Where there is darkness, light
Where there is sadness, joy.
O Divine Master
Grant that I may not so much seek
To be consoled as to console
To be understood as to understand
To be loved as to love
For it is in giving that we receive
It is in pardonning that we are pardonned
And it is in dying to self
That we are born to eternal life.
Just as Jesus was betrayed by Judas
So he was betrayed by those he loved
Just as Jesus was innocent of any wrong doing
So was he
Just as Jesus was falsely accused
So was he
Just as Jesus was arrested
So was he
Just as Jesus was sent to jail at Easter
So was he
Just as Jesus was wrongly convicted
So was he
Just as Jesus willingly chose to bear your sins
So he willingly chose to bear your stripes
This my child is LOVE.
Peace, Love and Happiness! May the riches and blessings of Our Lord Jesus Christ be with you always wherever you go. I praise God everyday for the wonderous work He is doing in you. I will never cease praying for you, so long as there is breath within me. For the Lord constantly reminds me to cover you with His protection and bless you with His unconditional love. Therefore I will love you as He loves you...unconditionally, as a brother whom you can trust (even though you do not right now), and as a fellow worshipper of Jesus Christ whom we both serve and offer our deepest affection for His unspeakable gift of salvation to which we are both called.
So let us act, therefore, as brother and sister in Christ, and set aside all disputes, wranglings and fear for they are unprofitable and do not glorify God. Rather let us acknowledge Him alone who shows us where we are weak and must grow. If we fear one another, that in itself should tell you it is not of God.
Remember always that we wrestle not with flesh and blood, but against the powers and principalities of this world. Therefore, we must cast aside all disputes and wranglings. Rather we must show His love and mercy in all circumstances with the same kindness and deep affection that He chose to bear our sins.
David
