Magic workers and Fairies:
Where would Oz be without it's magic? Well, Polychrome, Ozma, The Wizard & Glinda are a major part of this Ozian aspect. Both Polychrome and Ozma are fairies, while The Wizard and Glinda are mortals. Currenltly, Polychrome, Ozma, & the Wizard are scheduled to appear, but I stuck a few Glinda pictures in here just in case. ;)
Polychrome:
Polychrome is the rainbow's daughter. An air fairy, she dances upon the rainbow, and has some small magical skills. I really tried to find a color picture of her, but the only one that I could find had her in a WHITE DRESS. That'd be like Orriole & Sephriel getting drunk together and hitting on women. It just doesn't & shouldn't happen. Her eyes are purple, and her hair is silken yellow. Her dress is as muli-colored as the rainbow. The first three pictures are from the Road to Oz, which is my favorite version of Polly. The others are either from Tik-Tok or the Tin Woodsman. You'll notice, she likes to dance a lot.
Ozma:
Ah, what's Oz without Ozma? Ozma is the ruler of all Oz, and a fairy too boot. She is one of the most powerful fairies in all of Oz, and the prettiest, too. She typically wears either white, or green, the color of her capital. Red poppies often adorn her brown hair, and she usually wears a golden crown. Ozma has a nasty habbit of looking changing ages as the series goes on. Dorothy also suffers from a similar condition. In my happy little world, Ozma looks to be about 12 years old. Here are pictures of Ozma spanning Road to Oz until Lost Princess. Once again, favorites at the top-
The Wizard:
The Wizard, as he's simply known, was once the former ruler of the Emerald City. Upon his return to Oz, he took up the study of magic under Glinda the Good, and soon learned real magic. The Wizard typically wears a black suit, and carries around his black bag of magic. He's bald, with two swoops of black hair sticking out of the sides, and wears a top hat. My fav. is the third one. (P.S. - Please excuse any odd words. I got the pictures from an online Esperanto version :p )
Glinda the Good:
I'm not even sure that she appears in my book, but I figured why not? Glinda is the original Good Witch of the South (not the North like the movie says). She rules over the country of the Quadlings, and is Ozma's cheif sorceress and councelor. Dark auburn hair matches well with her red colored country, and pink and white dresses. Usually wears her hair in a net-crown thingy. You'll see. Third most important person in Oz, after Ozma & Dorothy.
