Author's Notes: Uh… just did my first drabble as a challenge response, then kinda got carried away… And, for a change, didn't do any Sam. Sorry, just thought Sam's POV in ILOD stuff has been *done*.

Summary: Six drabbles… thoughts through ILOD from Jack, Hammond, Janet, Teal'c, Daniel, and Cassandra

Jack

Jack couldn't help but be a little pleased with himself. She would only see *him*. It made a guy feel kinda special. Even Jack. He'd tried not to love Cassandra, but what could he say? The kid had grown on him. In fact, at the moment, she was literally clinging to his leg, which made him feel a little more worried than special.

Jack put his arm around her shoulder as she cuddled up to him. He so rarely saw her afraid.

"Cassie, Sam loves you. She'd never do anything to hurt you."

"She would now."

"Why?"

"She's a Goa'uld."

Hammond

George held his breath as he watched through the control room window without *looking* like he was watching. If he was too conspicuous, he might tip *it* off.

Watching *it* pacing around the gateroom like a caged animal, he couldn't believe he hadn't noticed earlier. Now that he knew, it was obvious to him that *it* wasn't Carter at all. *It* was only wearing her face.

"We're all gonna live, or we're all gonna die, right here."

"Let me go. I must go."

"Not gonna happen."

George watched, like the rest of SG-1, as the SF's carried Captain Carter away.

Teal'c

Too often, Teal'c considered claiming ignorance, pretending that there were *some* things, some horrors, of which he remained unaware. He considered it, but had always quickly shoved the thought away. No… his knowledge was invaluable, and he owed it to the Tau'ri, he felt. He'd become their guide. Some small act leading toward absolution.

But maybe someday, he would hold back and lead them to believe that he had a shred of innocence left.

But not today. Today, a friend's life was hanging in the balance.

"I have yet to meet one."

"You have now. I am Jolinar of Malkshur."

Janet

Janet knew what everyone said. It was always, 'Just get home. Get back to Doc Fraiser, and you'll be fine.' They were all trusting her now, like they trusted her every day. They expected her to practically bring Sam back to life.

O'Neill and Teal'c were standing there watching. Waiting for her to perform a miracle. There was a pale and dying woman lying before her and she didn't know what to do.

"Doc?"

"I don't know. I've never dealt with this type of situation before."

It wasn't fair. She didn't know…

First time for everything. Maybe even a miracle.

Daniel

Daniel sauntered back down the ramp, barely noticing the other people in the room. Talia was gone, the Nasyans were gone. Nothing to keep him occupied anymore, to keep his mind off Sam.

Maybe it was him. He couldn't exactly ignore the sudden, disturbing trend of women in his life being snaked, as Jack would say. And not only was Sam a Goa'uld, but someone was out to kill her.

Before he could stop himself, he wondered which would be worse.

A familiar face turned his head. But, he hadn't been an SF before… He'd been…

"Hey, I know you…"

Cassandra

Cassandra didn't know what to expect. She knew the Goa'uld was gone, they'd told her that. Said that Sam was Sam again. How could they be sure? They hadn't known before.

She had to go see her. Make sure for herself. After all, she was very brave. And Sam would never do anything to hurt her.

Sam was laying quiet in a bed. Didn't even twitch when Cassandra walked in. Sam seemed like she was scared, too. Goa'uld's didn't get scared. They urged her on and Cassie carefully crawled onto the bed.

"Sam, it's me. You're going to be okay."
