Virginia M. Kahnell, 79
Mrs. Virginia M. Kahnell, 79, formerly of Central Towers, died at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 29, 2005 at Beverly Healthcare in Titusville where she had been a resident since Sept. 6, 2002.
Mrs. Kahnell was born on Sept. 20, 1926 at Brookville, a daughter of the late Chalmer and Mary Belle Wolf Silvis. She was married to Earl E. Kahnell on Dec. 22, 1945 at Clarion. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1995.
Mrs. Kahnell was a graduate of the Farmington High School in Leeper, class of 1945. She had been employed as an assembler at both Sylvania in Pleasantville and Motorola in Phoenix, Ariz.
She enjoyed playing bingo, doing crossword puzzles and jigsaw puzzles, and playing cards.
She is survived by four sons, Terry E. Kahnell and his wife Evelyn of Glendale, Ariz., Rodney A. Kahnell and his wife Tami of Watertown, N.Y., Earl John Kahnell and his wife Susan of Chambersburg, and Tracy E. Kahnell and his wife Lori of Titusville; three daughters, Virginia Rumzie and her husband Theodore of Centreville, Mich., Carolee Johnson and her husband Robert of Waterford, and Cynthia Kahnell of Centerville; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harold R. Silvis and his wife Rosalee of Pleasantville and Howard Silvis and his wife Joanne of Tennessee; two sisters, Betty McClosky of Lickingville and Joyce Sayre of Kinsman, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Max Silvis and Dalton W. Silvis. No public calling hours or funeral service will be conducted. A private memorial service will be conducted Monday at Woodlawn Cemetery. The Gordon B. Garrett Funeral Home, 303 N. Washington St., Titusville, is in charge of arrangements
