THE TRUE MEANING OF CHRISTMAS

GOD’S SIDE OF THE STORY 

       The true meaning of Christmas is not St. Nick, oh sure He’s a jolly ole’ chap with a good heart, but I really had other plans. I had a feeling that the TEN COMMANDMENTS and the sacrifice of bulls and lambs were just not enough to reach My beloved Children. But what could I do ??!!  I had sent them Abraham, Isaac, Moses and even a King, cuz, that’s what They wanted. How could I show My Children how much I really loved Them. I KNOW !  I’ll send My only Son, Jesus, to be a light unto the World for All to see and follow…

       So, I sent My Angel, Gabriel, into the World, to a Virgin named Mary…betrothed to Joseph, to tell her  she would give birth to My Son. { Jesus, of course }. She really  handled it well…but, Joseph…He’s another story. I needed to fulfill prophecy, so I sent them to Bethlehem….I did not want this to be so spectacular that My Son’s purpose would not be fulfilled. Yet, just enough that No-one would ever forget that Day !                    

        Bethlehem, in a Manger, no less. What a touch, wasn’t it ?! Oh, yeah, and the Star that shined throughout the world. From the drummer boy to Wise Men, near and far they came to see My Son and Worship Him. They brought to Him Gold, Frankincense and Myrrh. He brought to them LIFE…and Much, Much more!!!

My Son, Jesus, is the Way, the Truth and the Life !!!
