Mark's Fan Experience

Well to start things off we left town a little late. Traffic was bad, and the road was tore to shit so we were late. We had gotten there about half way through switched's set. I saw Kevin and Bill by the little t-shirt booth. I wanted to go over and say hi but didn't want them to think I was a dork, so I didn't. Switched was ok. I had heard them before and wasn't too impressed. Then 40 Below Summer came on and blew my mind. After they played there was a Slipknot cd playing and my friend Nick started a mosh pit for that. Then this guy I know named Ryan came over and gave me a couple cool stickers. He also told me to listen to this next band. He said they were awesome. And he was right. Chimaira was the shit. Then after that when they were setting up the shit for Factory 81 I was out in the crowd in the middle of the stage about six rows back. I wasn't planning on moshing so we walked over by where the sound shit was in front of the stage on the other side of the bar. But then when Nate, Kevin,Bill and Andy came out I got this huge adrenaline rush and asked Jenny to hold Nicks hat I was hanging on to. I pushed my way up to about the fourth or fifth row before they started to play. Then when they started I kept pushing and got up into the second row. Then this kid in front of me got up on stage to dive off. I took his spot. I was in the front row right directly in front of bill. :) It was so cool. The guy from 40 Below came out and was singing with Nate for Peace Officer. They played a new song called Ecstacy. It was real cool. Nate stopped the show and kicked out some guy who spit on him. About ten minutes before the show ended the guy who was taking tickets at the door came and sat on the stage directly in front of me. :( Then about five minutes later Nick found me. Then after the show Nate signed my hat and I told him I thought he was the most intelligent man in the world. He said thanks but he didn't agree. Then we were looking for some jewlry that Nick lost on the floor and didn't ever find it, but we found mine. I also found a dollar and two guitar picks. Nick found a 3/4 inch plug that we still have. Then I saw Kevin and asked him to sign my hat and he said he would in a second but the security guard kicked us out before he had the chance to do it. Then when we were outside Joey C. from 40 below came out and signed my hat too. Then Nate came out dragging this big rubbermaid container and I was like What's up Nate and he said "Not much man". Then the security guard came outside and made everyone leave. All in all I had a really kick-ass night. Best fifteen dollars I ever spent.
