Klub Phenomenon with Cry for Dawn, 40 Below Summer & Ill Nino

I arrived a few hours early with my buddy Kat and we sat outside the tour bus. Nate came out carrying a book and sat and talked with us for a while. Later on Kevin came and talked to us about how he needed to take a shower, and after he left we saw Bill and talked to him a while. Then Andy popped out with some fake breasts on. Bill came out later and left with one of the guys for Ill Nino to get food at a nearby gas station. Kevin came out and talked to us again, and then me and Kat left for a while.

Later on when we came back we stood in line to get in and got some tapes with 40 below summer on them. Once we got let into the show we stood in front of the stage for a while until we realized that Kevin was sitting to the side of it. So we went over and chatted with him for a while, our main topic being the ghetto chair he was sitting in. Then we went back in front of the stage, but before we left we each got a hug from Kevin. At some point we saw Nate standing by this big fan so we walked over to him and talked to him and got some hugs.

In between one of the sets I went to buy a Factory 81 t-shirt. Bill was selling him, and I asked him what his favorite one was. He told me it would have to be the Flag one. So I got that one and returned to my spot to the right of center stage.

After the show we talked to Kevin for a good amount of time and I got one of his picks. He signed it and everything. It is on my necklace now. I gave him a braclet that I made. It has hematite beads on it with two black plastic beads on either side of a pendant that has the word love on it. We talked to him a while about Tim Burton and all the movies he made, and he showed us this little Lock guy (the little devil in Nightmare Before Christmas) that he carries in his case for good luck. He also let me and two other guys play his bass guitar. It is really heavy! It was so awesome to get to do that. He said that it would be so awesome just to give one of his guitars away to a fan at a show. We then asked him if we could see the inside of the new tour bus, and he told us to head downstairs and find Nate or Andy so that they could show us. Before we left the building we got hugs from Bill and Kevin.

On our way out we ran into this Guy named Chris that plays in a band named Dizney Fist in New York. He gave us one of their CDs and walked and talked with us. He was really cool! Once we got downstairs we talked to a few of the guys from Ill Nino and then Nate took us to see the tour bus. And after a while Andy showed up. We chatted for a while, and then it was time for us to head out. It was a great night, and I must say that the guys in Factory 81 are incredibly sweety and funny, and I find myself lucky that I get to spend a good amount of their shows with them. Thanks guys for the awesome night!
