the Rave with Switched, 40 Below Summer, and Chimaira

My friend Kat and I arrived much later than we usually do, so the bands were already inside and set up. This was a drag! However, while we were waiting to get in Max (of 40 Below Summer) came out of the building to make a water run. On his way he stopped and said hey to us and thanked us for coming. He gave us a hug and off he went.

Around 7pm the doors opened and Kat and I got in right away and snagged the front center spots. While we were waiting for the show to start, we saw Kevin at the merch. table and I went to talk to him. He seemed a little depressed at the moment, but he still kept good conversation going. A guy standing to the side of us said "Your that girl." So I looked around for a little bit to see who this guy was talking to, well it turned out he was talking to me. He told me that Factory 81 had a bunch of pictures of me and Kat. My guess is that they were the Feb. ones. I was like that is cool! So I talked to Kevin for a while longer and then Kat came to get me because the show was about to start. So we each gave Kevin a hug and headed back to our spots.

Well, if you want to know what I thought of all the bands you can read my concert review, so I will skip to the 1 on 1 Factory 81 stuff. Well, Factory 81 had an awesome show! They always have such a great time there. The crowd just loves them. Nate came out on stage with an "I love Boys" shirt on! It was pretty funny stuff! He said that he thinks about Bill's grandma when he is all alone in the dark! LOL! Of course he was joking....so none of you better be thinking he is a sick pervert or I will beat you. Well, moving on. They guys looked so hot up on stage! Heck I was burning up and getting torn down in that pit. Max came up on stage and sang backup vocals for "Peace Officer" that was so cool. 40 Below Summer are pretty damn cool. Near the end of the show Nate pulled me and Kat up on stage to get us out of the beating we were taking and directed us to the side of the stage that led to the backstage area.

We watched the rest of the concert and finished up some rolls of film. After the show we went backstage. I have always wanted to go back there, and all it was was this little room with a bench. Pretty sad. Well, we talked about Kat's knot on her forehead for a while and we got to look at a tatoo on Kevin's back that was this awesome alien thingy. It was cool.

We then proceeded to go get a shirt. Well, I wanted to get a 40 Below Summer shirt, but they were already packed up and gone so I bought the grey Mankind shirt. It was cool though. Now I only need one more, aside from the ones they quit making. Well, after that it was time to go and we hugged all the guys goodbye. They told us see you again soon, and you know it has almost become like a little friendship. It rocks!
