the fankind webgirl: |

Well, before you start reading this, I am just going to warn you that I have a tendency to ramble on about things that don't really matter, so feel free to move on when I start boring you.
Incase you were wondering, I chose the term webgirl over webmaster because the word webmaster sounds a little masculine, and I don't want you thinking I am a guy when I'm not. Then, there was the alternate term webmistress, but that makes me sound like some sort of online street walker. Thus I created my own term, which I am sure other people have used. That way I can avoid any stereotypes being attached to me that aren't true.
Anyway, on to the important stuff. I started liking factory 81 in the winter of 2000 after Kat invited me to tag a long to a concert. Before she invited me, she popped in the nanu cd in art class and gave it a spin. Needless to say, I liked it and I accepted her invitation. Although my first attempt to see f81 failed miserably, due to a snow storm, I went to a show that was booked shortly after the Kittie show at Club Raven.
My first show was such a great experience, that there was an immediate fire lit within me to promote the band. So, I started building 14left, which has now been transformed into fankind. Since then I have attended 6 other f81 shows, making a total of seven. I have met all the members and got to know them a little bit, and honestly, I don't have one negative thing to say about any of them. They are wonderful, talented, and unquie individuals that have done nothing but add to my quality of life.
Outside of promoting factory 81, I am a very dedicated artist. I love to draw, paint, sketch, sculpt...anything that allows me to express my inner emotions to the people around me. I love studying about different artists, mainly impressionists and surrealists, and then applying my knowledge to my work. However, out of all the artist I have researched, I admire VanGough and Picasso the most. I also enjoy writing, mainly poetry, to help me get out my thoughts.
Whenever I get a chance, I like to take the time to read. Unfortunately, I don't get that chance very often. When I do, I am generally reading either Edgar Allan Poe or Chuck Palahniuk, author of Fight Club. I tend to watch more movies than read books. It's a lot easier to multi-task while you are watching a movie. Some of my favorites are Fight Club, The Crow, Snatch, Boondock Saints, and Nightmare Before Christmas.
Of course, my life isn't all fun...I have to go to school and work. I am currently working on getting my associates degree in graphic design at the community college in my home town. I work at the YMCA on the college campus as a counselor for their summer camp. In Septemember I will start lifeguarding in the mornings. Ironically, I hate swimming suits and the shopping that you have to go though to get one...but I am looking forward to starting.
