Attendance in Houlihan's Stadium has nose-dived from 11,333 a game last year to 9,136 this season, 11th in the 12-team league, circulating fears the team's future is in doubt.

But Sunday against the New York/New Jersey Metro Stars, a record 30,000 are expected for a special event. No, not a post game Goo Goo Dolls concert, although the rock group (hit song: Iris) figures to help.

The Mutiny are playing the final event in soon-to-be-demolished Houlihan's Stadium, which is being replaced by new $168 million Raymond James Stadium a corner kick away.
