Irresponsible Hate Anthem This song is about being a real American. Just read the lyrics.

The Beautiful People I don't want you and I don't need you (you are irrelevant to me) don't bother to resist, i'll beat you (my intellect is superior to a blind follower, and to people who ignore the bigger picture it's not your fault that you're always wrong (you were born into your ignorance. why don't you try to escape?!) the weak ones are there to justify the strong (superior knowledge can only exist if there is inferior knowledge) the beautiful people, the beautiful people (the one's who see and understand) it's all relative to the size of your steeple (religion holds great power over people; the masses follow) you can't see the forest for the trees (you can't see it all put together; only the small ideas) and you can't smell your own shit on your knees (you don't (and cant) see what you are, even though it's a part of you!) Hey, you, what do you see? something beautiful, something free? (are you only looking at what you want to see?) Hey, you, are you trying to be mean? if you live with apes, man, it's hard to be clean (are you trying to phase me or something? living with the ignorant does result in a certain degree of contamination) There's no time to discriminate, hate every mother fucker that's in your way (if you're going to accomplish something, you must get past everyone) the worms will live in every host (we'll all die in the end) it's hard to pick which one they eat the most (can you tell who's gonna end up the worst?) the horrible people, the horrible people (the followers, the ignorant) it's as anatomic as the size of your steeple (---) Capitalism has made it this way (Capitalism has established the current world situation) Old-fashioned fascism will take it away (think about it)

Dried Up, Tied and Dead to the World you cut off all of your fingers trade them in for dollar bills (anything for money) cake on some more make-up to cover up all those lines (beauty is important to the world) wake up and stop shaking cause you're just wasting time (stop wasting time pretending something is wrong) don't you want some of this? don't you need some of this? you take but cannot be given you ride but cannot be ridden pinch this tiny heart of mine wrap it up in soiled twine you never read what you've written (---) I'll be your lover, i'll be forever I'll be tomorrow, i am anything when i'm high (the motto of the people of New Orleans) don't you want some of this? don't you need some of this? you shove your hair down my throat i feel your fingers in me tear this bitter fruit to mess and wrap it in your soiled dress now you must spit out the seeds (chorus) all dried up and tied up forever all fucked up and dead to the world...

Tourniquet I think this song is about Marilyn doubting his self-worth "You never ever believed in me" and "I never ever believed in me" are both present in the song.

Little Horn I have no interpretations of this song.

Cryptorchild This song is about Marilyn's transformation; completely. Going from being a boy, to a worm, to a being of higher consciousness.

Deformography when you wish upon a star don't let yourself fall, fall in too hard (a wish you make will hardly ever come true; dont let it hurt you when it doesn't come) I fell into you and I'm on my back an insect decaying in your little trap (when i am with you i am helpless) I squirm into you, now I'm in your gut I fell into you, now I'm in a rut "i lift you up like the sweetest angel, i'll tear you down like a whore. i will bury your god in my warm spit, you'll be deformed in your porn" (you participate in your own destruction) rock star yeah (you're such a dirty, dirty) rock star yeah (dirty, dirty, dirty) (this says what it means) you eat up my heart and all the little parts your star is so sharp it leaves me jagged holes I make myself sick just to poison you if I can't have you then no one will (chorus) you are the one i want and what i want is so unreal i'm such a dirty Rock star yeah... (i am the one you want and the one you want is so unreal) (surprising, isn't it?)

Wormboy when will realize you're already there? (there's nowhere else to go) so watered down-your feelings have turned to mud. "love everybody" is destroying the value of (the Satanist theory that love should not be wasted on ingrates.) all hate has got me nowhere I know I'm slipping, I know I'm slipping, I know I'm slipping away oh no, it is everything they said it was oh no, I am everything they said I was (ha!) when you you get to heaven you will wish you you're in hell (heaven isn't what you think it is) when will you realize, you're already here you'll thank us now that you have crossed over (now that we've become like you) don't pick the scabs or you will never heal the world shudders as the worm gets its wings (chorus) then i got my wings and i never even knew it when i was a worm, thought i wouldn't get through it...

Mister Superstar Marilyn's look at how pathetic the world has become. People are willing to do anything for someone, just because they are famous. He explores several different subject areas (Mr Supergod, Mr Superstar, Mr Superman) . I can almost look at this song in a comical sense, because people are really like this. "I wanna grow up just like you." Fuck that.

Angel With the Scabbed Wings I consider this song to be pretty much about a fallen angel. That, or the metaphor of a fallen angel, used to describe some person who left/denied god to pursue his earthly mortal desires, and this would be from the eyes of his religious peers, who now think he's disgusting.

Kinderfeld he lives inside my mouth and tells me what to say when he turns the trains on he makes it go away (Marilyn's grandfather jack used to play with rains) the hands are cracked and dirty and the nails are beetle wings when he turns the trains on he unties all of the strings The worm: "tell me something beautiful, tell me something free, tell me something beautiful and i wish that i could be."(then i got my wings and i never even knew it,when i was a worm, thought i couldn't get through it) (spoken by Marilyn) Jack: (not spoken) come, come the toys all smell like children and scab-knees (Marilyn's grandmother used to make he and Chad kneel on broomsticks when they were bad, which scabbed their knees) will obey i'll just have to kneel on broomsticks (i just told you) just to make it go away [the inauguration of the worm] (then i got my wings and i never even knew it, when i was a worm, thought i couldn't get through it) a voice we have not yet heard: "because today is black/because there is no turning back. because your lies have watered me/ i have become the strongest weed" weed... through jack's eyes: the taste of metal disintegrator three holes upon the leather belt it's cut and swollen and the age is showing boy: " there's no one here to save yourself." the disintegrator: (to himself) this is what you should fear you are what you should fear

Antichrist Superstar This song is about Marilyn's 'fall from grace,' as it were. It shows how he was spawned from this world by the people who hate him. Everyone spoke of an antichrist, but there wasn't one. He became that antichrist, and gave people something of substance to fear.

1996 This is the ultimate hate song. He has already stated himself as the anti-christ; now he must go against everything.

The Minute of Decay there's not much left to love (the world is too empty for there to be something to love) too tired today to hate (hating takes so much out of me) I feel the empty I feel the minute of decay I'm on my way down now, I'd like to take you with me I'm on my way down I'm on my way down now, I'd like to take you with me (if i have to go, i'm not going alone) I'm on my way down the minute that it's born it begins to die (how true) I'd love to just give in, I'd love to live this lie (it would be so easy) I've been to black and back I've whited out my name a lack of pain, a lack of hope, a lack of anything to say there is no cure for what is killing me (---) I'm on my way down I've looked ahead and saw a world that's dead (we have no hope; i've seen it) I guess that I am too (chorus) I'm on my way down now, I'd like to take you with me...

The Reflecting God your world is an ashtray (it sucks) we burn and coil like cigarettes the more you cry your ashes turn to mud (ash + tears = mud) it's the nature of the leeches, (to suck blood) the virgin's feeling cheated (i don't know, cheated out of what?) you've only spent a second of your life my world is unaffected, there is an exit here I say it is and then it's true, (---) there is a dream inside a dream, I'm wide awake the more I sleep you'll understand when I'm dead (you can't know until i'm gone) I went to god just to see, and I was looking at me saw heaven and hell were lies when I'm god everyone dies (i am my own god, as is everyone; but most i wll not except it) scar/scar/can you feel my power? shoot here and the world gets smaller scar/scar/can you feel my power? one shot and the world gets smaller let's jump upon the sharp swords and cut away our smiles without the threat of death there's no reason to live at all (people only live because they fear death) my world is unaffected, there is an exit here I say it is and then it's true, there is a dream inside a dream, I'm wide awake the more I sleep you'll understand when I'm dead (bridge) (chorus) "each thing i show you is a piece of my death" shoot shoot shoot motherfucker no salvation, no forgiveness "this is beyond your experience" forgiveness...

Man That You Fear Marilyn was inspired to write this song at his cousin Chad's wedding. The title says the meaning of the song, almost completely. As a boy, his family loved him. And when he grew up, they were all afraid.

Track 99 This is the entire album, compiled into one hidden track. It says everything.
