Thousand Eagles

How any times can a man say he is sorry
And is it ever enough
If the sin that he has knowingly committed
Seems against god himself
With an angel sent down straight from heaven above him
Silver wings and eyes of gold
To take away his pain and wrap him up in her beauty
Forever doesn’t seem so cold

What have I done
I’ve lost my only one
What have I done
I wake up to lonely suns

He finds himself falling deeper in his hole
As he looks up the sky has gone
Faster as he falls he thinks about his life and what it means
Where did he go wrong
Taking fathers advice he lets it all go
Falling deeper ever more
With his life before his eyes he cries out
How did I miss this before

What have I done
I’ve lost my only one
What have I done
I wake up to lonely suns
