Getting it Straight

Isaac's Point of View

"Tay you might want to sing that one more time!" I said to my brother across the stage. I hated practicing the same song over and over again. My fingers got tired of playing the same chords. Overall the whole thing was quite annoying. "I'll be with you in your dreams." Taylor sang and asked if that was better. "Yea Tay that was better, but you still need to practice. No matter how much I didn't like practicing, concerts were always a lot of fun. I loved to see the reactions on peoples' faces and how the fans were always so anxious to meet us. Sometimes, it was weird how all those girls screamed. Were they screaming at us or at Hanson, the hot blonde brothers? I didn't know and I didn't exactly care. Having loyal fans, making music and bringing smiles to peoples' faces was awesome. "Guys let's wrap up for tonight! It's eight and we have that date at nine!" Zac called out anxiously. "Chill out Zac, we have time, we're only five minutes away from the hotel!" Taylor smiled. It was really funny how excited Zac was. "Which one of the girls do you guys like?" I asked. "I like Mandy!" Zac called out. "But she surely has the hots for the Ike man!" Taylor said laughing. "Oh shut up man! I'll get her to like me, you'll see!" Zac said defensively. "We're sure you will, you're a good looking young man!" I winked. "So Tay who do you like?" " I've got it for Emily. She is extremely pretty, talented and very mysterious." He answered dreamily. "Cool! I like Liz, but I think she likes you Tay!" I said dissapointed. "Don't worry, not for long, remember how I gave her the cold shoulder when she grabbed my hand?" My brother responded. "Oh yea that was funny!" Zac put on an evil grin. "Okay, let's go you guys! It's eight forty-five!" I said and went out to the garage. My brothers followed me into my green jeep and in no time we were in the Marriot lobby. By that time it was eight fifty. "Do I look okay?" Asked Taylor and put his nose to his armpit. "Pit stop!" Screamed Zac and everyone in the lobby turned around to see who was making noise. "Zac be quiet! Behave your self!" I raised my voice. Finally I saw the girls get out of the elevator. Taylor couldn't get his eyes off of Emily because her hair was all in beautiful ringlets. Elizabeth had her hair up in a high ponytail, which looked more appealing to me, and Mandy just wore her hair down. "You ladies look awesome tonight!" I said. "You don't look so bad your self." Amanda said with a flirtatious smile. God was she annoying. She just couldn't get the point that I didn't like her and I decided to end it right then and there. Mandy and Zac can I talk to you? Zac looked surprised, maybe because he really didn't foreshadow this coming. "Sure." They both agreed and went over to where I was pointing. Discomfort and weirdness was on both of their faces. "Look Amanda," I turned to Mandy. "It's Mandy…" she interrupted. "Okay, just shut-up and listen!" I said. " I know you like me and I am sorry, but I don't have the same feelings for you. I really like Elizabeth, but I do know that Zac over here…" I pushed my brother towards her and went on "Zac likes you a lot and it would be cool, if you guys talked and got to know each other." I finished. They both stared at me with disbelief. At first Mandy seemed real mad but her answer was astonishing. "I'm fine wit it!" was all she said and sweetly smiled at Zac. "Thank you for not leading me on Ike! And I can see you're a great friend to your brother!" She said again. So it was set. We were all kind of paired off. Zac with Mandy, Taylor was with Emily and me, with Liz. Now this was officially a date and we were going to the Italian restaurant downstairs.
