Dinner Clues and Sadness

Isaac's Point of View

When we came to the girls' door all we found was a piece of paper stuck to it. "Meet us in the lobby, we have a surprise!" The paper said. "I love surprises!" Zac said. He sounded so excited, just like a little kid who was taking a trip to the toy store. When we went downstairs, the girls weren't there, but instead, we had a message at the front desk. The clerk handed me a neatly folded piece of pink stationary paper. "Come to your room, knock on the door and turn around." The paper said this time. "Ooh romantic." Said Taylor when we got out of the elevator on our floor. "This is fun!" Zac ran ahead. That kid could be so amusing at times. "All right I'll knock." I said as if deciding the hardest thing in my life. After a knock we all turned around. Suddenly we heard the door open. "Turn around and come in!" Mandy's voice said. Gosh she really sounded like a little Smurffete. When we turned around we couldn't believe our eyes. "Wow…" Taylor said in awe. There was a little table in the middle of the room, it had a while tablecloth and was set for six people. "Surprise!" Emily smiled as she gave out a little shout. "We should be doing this for you, it's your birthday and instead you did this for us!" I smiled at all the girls as a sign of appreciation. We were all really very hungry so we set down to eat. "What's on the menu chefs?" Zac asked eagerly and licked his lips. "The hungry little one!" Amanda said, came up to Zac and petted him on the head. "Hey, you know how much strength I use up on those drums, I need some food in me!" Zac said and petted his belly. Like I said before this kid was too funny for words. Maybe he was funny because he was covering up his shyness or maybe he was just a stand up comedian in a drummer's disguise. No one really knew and no one wanted to ask. "We didn't cook, we ordered out real Italian food." Elizabeth said. "Haha! Very funny! Real Italian food in London!" Taylor laughed. "No, it's actually very good! I tried." Mandy said with offense in her voice. "Let's give this baby a try!" Said Zac and put a whole bunch of baked Zede on his plate. (AuthNote: If someone doesn't know that's real Italian food, but I think I spelled it wrong.) "You got any pasta?" Tay asked. "Sure, here you go." Emily put some pasta on his plate and covered it with sauce and graded cheese. I helped myself to whatever was on the table. Freshly baked bread was in the middle of the table in a breadbasket. "This is all so soo good! I can't get enough!" Said Zac while chewing yet another piece of bread. "Can you ever get enough with food?" Taylor teased him. We all laughed. Taylor always made fun of Zac, and me for that matter. It wasn't 'cause he meant it. It was kind of one of those brotherly things. Zac though, never understood it. He thought we were serious when we called him fat or when we said that he was ugly. But we really weren't. "So, what are we doing after we eat?" I asked out of curiosity. "Curiosity killed the cat!" Liz smiled. That got me thinking, was there more to the surprise? "I hate when people say that!" Zac screamed while laughing. "He's not a freaking cat, he's Ike." "What he said was hilarious but so true!" Mandy agreed. After dinner we all sat around and watched TV for a little while. "I think it's time." Elizabeth said looking out the window. "Time for what?" I asked puzzled. "Don't worry, you'll like it." Said Mandy and grabbed Zac by the arm. "Whoa, where are we going?" He yelped. "You'll see silly!" Amanda said and practically dragged him out of the room. Taylor was next and then came my turn. We were all outside, thanks to our lovely ladies. "Brrr, it's pretty cold." Tay shivered. "Don't worry, we just got a question to ask." Liz spoke for all of them. "All right shoot with the question, I don't want to get sick here!" Zac said obnoxiously. "Wait…we need to get to the special place first." We walked and walked and walked some more. Finally we came to a park. There was a full moon was in the sky and the stars were so perfect that they looked custom made. This was too romantic, and something was going on. We weren't even dating the girls for there to be any romance. We couldn't, not with our hectic schedule. But to admit yes, I grew really fond of Elizabeth. And Tay did like Emily and Zac, Mandy. "So what did you want to ask us?" I asked. To say the least, we were getting a bit impatient. "Well…" Mandy began. "We overheard Zac tell one of the fans at the meet and greet that all of you guys are semi dating, and we were wondering what this was all about." Everyone looked at Zac. "Yea Zac, what is that all about?" I wanted to know. "Butt head, you know we're all single!" Taylor got mad. He always got extra loud at nights. Maybe all the excitement of the day got to his head later. Zac was blushing. You could see that he was extremely uncomfortable. "I thought that we were dating the girls." He said confused and looked up at sky. Mandy took a deep breath and then took a seat next to Zac on a bench. "Look hon," she started. "I really like you, all of us really like you guys, but this can never work. You guys are always traveling, and we all know distance is a big thing. Plus, we all live in different states. I live in California, Em and Liz live in Missouri and you, in Tulsa. This could never work." "Oh…" Zac was dissapointed. I looked over at Emily, her eyes were blue and a wet glare came off of them. "What's wrong Em?" I asked. "Nothing, I'm just tired, lets go home." She said coldly. She wasn't crying, but if one more word was said, I think she would. "Tay can you walk her home?" "Sure." As we sat there in silence Taylor and Emily stood up and began their journey back to the hotel.
