floodgates.flashlights

slits -
my passion runs onto the floor.
i didn't think i'd mind
nerves won't shout for much more
it doesn't much matter
you and i were bound together
if skies could stay dark
could our new time be measured
with ash, and sharp glints of metal
shadowy cobwebs in a corner
a street sign, a thorn on a petal.
when tendencies straightaway send -
the walls all fluoresce -
the rain will soon end
there may be understanding
but it's just in the way
a razor in my fingertips
is just a game i play
the furniture is swimming
but the clock is standing still
i struggle to support myself
i lean down against my will
your head rests on my stomach
you're feeling dizzy now
if we could stop what we've begun -
but we're slipping further down
this feels like drowning
lost track of the air
we've passed our last moment
will forever share?
