*FACE IN THE CROWD*©
I'm just another girl
In a world of billions
What do I have to offer?
What sets me apart?
I'm just another face in the crowd
Another voice in the night
What can I do?
To set me free
From this labeled part
I'm just another pair of eyes
To pass by without a glance
Will my face show my diversity?
Or will I still always be put in the regime?
I scream in pain
But a whisper is all that is heard
Does anyone see the crying that I do?
Why am I left alone?
I'm just another person
To put off with a shrug
No other thought comes my way
I'm left to be by myself
To search in the dark
For the answer that may never be found
As it is, I feel useless
I may never stand out
I will stay in the background
Blurring around the edges
What if I die before I'm noticed?
Will I still just be a face in the crowd?
