Take me by the heart
Don't take it all
Don't take it all apart
I've tried to learn
I've tried to love
But in the end
I've learned to not learn how to love
Because to love means to hurt
Hand in empty hand I walk alone
Trying not to lose my sanity
Trying not to lose my sense
But everyday it becomes harder
I'm trying to understand
But everywhere my feet land
I see only confusion
Confusion is like quicksand
Pulling me in, drowning me
I've always lost what I've ever loved
I've always loved what I've ever lost
To lose again would only mean an end
I'm tried of trying
I'm tired of lying
I only want to go on
With an empty heart
And an empty hand
