*PROMISES*©
Trying to say good-bye
But the minute I open my mouth
Forgotten promises renew their worth
With a pen in my right hand, I try to ignore their once priceless value
The pen touches th paper, leaving a lonely mark
A touch of blue in a universe full of white nothingness
A broken heart in a world full of uncaring faces
Words come but not the right ones
Just another life to discard into the garbage
Trying to find the truth in a room full of lies
Is like trying to find peace in a mountain of flames
I break down and I cry
For all my life
I have to live with my mistake
The mistake where I lost something I loved
I don't know how to say good-bye
How to open the big, heavy door
To let out all emotions
That used to be
But I know I must say the final good-bye
No more hellos
No more promises to hold for all eternity
The only promise left to promise
Is to never promise again
