Competition Etiquette
All band students, chaperons and parents who attend the competitions need to read and abide by the following Etiquette Guidelines set up by the SCBDA for Marching Events.

Disrespect and unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at SCBDA events. |
|
Parents need to understand they are positive role models.
|
|
Courtesy is expected during all band performances.
Rudeness (i.e. booing, heckling) will not be tolerated.
|
|
Bands should be chaperoned in the visitor stands after performing.
|
|
Distracting noise ( noisemakers, yelling, cat-calls, airhorns) are not acceptable during any part of a bands performance.
|
|
Applause, cheering, standing ovations are expected and appreciated forms of recognition for all bands.
|
|
Comments about other bands should always be positive.
|
