THE YEAR 2000 IN REVIEW:

The year 2000 was a Very Big year 4 sunx career - you will be pretty surprised at how much things have actually went on last year...

January - Society Anxiety had been released a short while ago, this was around the time that the radio started giving them airplay and channel [v] started playing their clips. Most people were just finding out about sunk loto.

February - Jas' 17th b'day another year gone until the day that the media wont call them kids with an attitude. Sunk Loto performed "Vinegar Stroke" On House Of Hits, then after that did a webchat.

March - Lift music clip was premiered on Rage in the middle of the night. Sunk Loto Also began work on their debut album in Q and 301 studios in Sydney.

April - Sunk Loto tie things up recording wise with the debut album, they are still yet to mix it though. Luke turned 17 this month and sunk loto played at the popular victorian festival Offshore. Jason changed his look going from blond to brunett. Sunk Loto release hints of what is to be on the 'untitled' album

May - Sunk Loto play at the live-to-air Mt. Isa Unearthed on triple J, actually headlining the nights performance. It would have been quite an experience for Sunx. This is where they played "Big Picture Lies" for the first time to air. Sunk Loto were also still being requested and featured on many compilation CDs.

June - Sunk Loto went off for their biggest tour yet. Supporting the Testseagles "Non-comprehendous society" Tour. It was national and showed the guys exactly what touring this much was all about, they got sick a few times, but put a fair bit of effort into getting to their gigs and playing really well. They not only did gigs but also did a couple of signings for lucky fans in Queensland. Sunk Loto also played at the popular NSW festival, Grounded. Sunk Loto were featured in Recovery Magaine. Sean and Dane both had birthdays. Sean turned 19 and Dane turned 15. Sunk Loto began planning to suport bands such as A perfect Circle and Grinspoon. The results from BPL Onlines web poll went up for the first time. For those who didnt remember - here are the results for the very last time. I'm soon to put the same poll up again - just to see if anything changed there.

July - Sunk Loto release the title of their debut album "Big Picture Lies" (remember you heard that hear first haha I love saying that ;) Sunk Loto went to America to mix the new album with the man - Babiero himself. Sunk Loto filmed the video clip for their fist ever single "Make you feel" In Yatala. The results from the other poll we did went up also.

Sunk Loto played a gig in the far off Perth, a special treat for all WA Sunk Loto fans.

August - Make you Feel was released on the 14th. The single reached number 33 on the Aria charts.Sunk Lotos official webpage began to be updated for the new single. Sunk Loto did some more signings in Queensland for Lucky fans. SUnk Loto were in another Recovery Magazine,.

September - BPL Online and other Sunk Loto sites had the very first Sunk Loto Fan Chat (not with sunk themselves). The cover of Big Picture Lies was released.

October -The much anticipated Debut album is released with loud cheers from everyone. The wait was definatly worth it. Sunk Loto appear on By Demand - channel [v] for the first time since December 1999. Sunk Loto Play at the popular Queensland Festival Livid and film the clip to the next single "Sunken Eyes". Sunx were featured in lots of magazines, sain, dolly, dolly summer special, recovery and more. Sunk Loto Chatted at Juice.Net and the sunk loto fan sites had another cool Fan chat (not with sunk) Big Picture Lies debuts on the Arai charts at number 16.

November - Jason did a webchat @yahoo.com.au And Sunk Loto appeared on The Joint with Jabba and also hosted The heavy Shift both on channel [v]. Sunk Loto play in victoria for the first time since the offshore festival.

December - Sunken Eyes - the next single was released, it gave us a hint of what music was to come with the awsome song Chameleon as a B-Side. Soundivision featured sunk loto on their network website. Sunk loto played at the popular Homebake festival, pulling a HUGE crowd, MUCH MUCH larger than the year before's. Rolling Stone web had a short webchat with Jas and Dane. And Finally Sunk Loto kicked off the hard working year with a performance at the Falls Festival in Lorne, Victoria.

Strange to beleieve that at the start of the year Sunk Loto were asking people to watch them live, and at the end they dont have to even blind to pull a huge copasity crowd. Well Done Sunk - a very well done year.

I'm really very sorry that it took this long to get the site back up and running - it's been a pretty busy holiday for me so far and like I havn't had much time at all.

Firstly I gotta say I hope you all had a merry Christmas!!! Plus Have a great new years too - those heading down to Falls Festival for the first time - Be careful ;)

Theres plenty of new things up in the site - almost every page has something new - so check them ALL out, I do believe theres some new reviews and fan page stuff and fan pics still coming.

Sunk loto have (hopefully) filmed the video clip to Sunken eyes , their new single, at the livid festival yesterday. I don't know when the cd is due for release as yet. Its rumoured (a very strong one too) that after Sunken Eyes the next singles will be "11" then "goodbye tonight". If it turns out true, you heard it hear first hehe.

Sunk Lotos webchat at channel [v], which is still in the process of being organised will be on this Saturday. It will be held from The Livid festival. The chat will be unmoderated!!
