That rhymes, maybe I should write songs...maybe not. I was born in Wrexham North Wales in 1950 and started playing guitar at the age of ten joining the music group at school. When I was sixteen I joined a local cabaret act playing bass guitar, as the lead guitarist was very very good I thought it would be better to take up the position of bass guitarist. After gaining experience in several bands during the seventies and eighties I was approached by the group Cleeshay and asked if I could dep for them when their usual bass player could not make it, this led to me being asked to join them full time in 1994 and I've been with them ever since. My musical tastes are quite varied and I especially like instrumental music with Hank Marvin being one of my heroes as he probably is to many group members who started playing in the sixties. I have recently become interested in making music on computers since owning a PC early this year and hope to take a two year course at college to learn the ins and outs (slight pun there ) of computer studies. My wife Joyse has just completed courses in nail extensions, make up and beauty therapy so in the great "cleeshay" of "if you can`t beat them join them" I have also taken and passed the nail extension course and hope to go on to the theatrical and fashion make up course in the near future (Ducky). Yes the band are a little worried about me at the moment but as long as I don`t start wearing dresses and shaving my legs I think every thing will be OK. Anyway bye for now I`ve just got to go and tidy up my bikini line...Tommy. Joke: A guitarist walks into the dressing room and finds the bass player and drummer fighting. "Hey cut it out what`s going on?" says the guitarist. The bass player says "The drummer`s de-tuned one of my strings". "Well that`s no reason to get upset" says the guitarist. "Yes it is" says the bass player "He won`t tell me which one".... |
