"We're going into the store while Jeff fills up the bus, if anyone's coming, get out here!"
I heard Jimmy yelling as I fixed up my hair into a quick pony tail, and opened the curtain to my bunk. I hadn't been off the bus in over six hours, and I was dying to get off and stretch my legs and breath fresh air. I leaped out of my bunk, not waiting for anyone, and ran off the bus. When I hit the ground, I did two laps around the large bus, while I was waiting for the rest of the girls. Then I remembered about Dare and her small problem. I watched Jimmy, Trevor and Jamal get off and walk into the store. Then I saw Joey and Luke get off and follow the guys. Tony was next, followed by Cher and Marce. That only left two, Dare and Fox. I jumped back onto the bus to find them. I whipped open Fox's bunk curtain and found him fast asleep. I leaned in close and whispered,
"Hey sexy, you wanna get up and come out into the fresh air with me?"
His eyes popped open at the sound of my voice. He sat up and stared into my eyes. He was gorgeous, even when he was half asleep.
"Of course, as long as I'm with you." he muttered, getting out of his bunk.
"I just gotta check on Dare, you go out, I'll be right there." I told him, and he obeyed. As soon as I heard him get off the bus, I opened Dare's curtain.
She was just sitting there looking at my cell, which she held in her left hand.
"What's wrong, Dare?" I asked her, "Did you talk to him?"
"No... I call once, and it was busy... then I called again and his machine picked up. Then I called his house number and his little brother told me he wasn't there. I think he's avoiding me!" she practically yelled.
"Oh... man, I'll kick his ass if he is!" I yelled, smiling, "Maybe he's just been busy, you'll get ahold of him later, and you'll get this all figured out. Until then, do you wanna get off the bus for a few minutes. We're in Atlanta, and we're stopped for gas right now." I said, trying to cheer her up. I saw her smile slightly.
"Alright, let's go." she finished. I grabbed her hand and the two of us got off the bus together.
*Half Hour Later*
It was almost 8am when we arrived at the arena where the show was tonight. We had to "check in". Rowdy was there when we got there, so we made small talk with them while Jamal, Jimmy and Trevor talked to some people. It was June 4th.
We left there by quarter after 8am, and went to this really nice, small resturant for breakfast. I just had toast. Atlanta seemed like a nice city so far, but not even close to Florida. Florida was awesome. We were finished eating by 9am. We were supposed to be free for the day, but then someone called Trevor to book a radio interview with us at noon. We were so pumped that we got to do our first radio interview, in America. We were basically jumping off the walls of the little resturant. When got back onto the bus and drove back to the arena for 10am, because we decided we wanted to catch some of BSB's soundcheck, which was supposed to start at 10am.
When we ran in, we found AJ sitting on the stage, alone. He was a little surprised to see us.
"GIRLS!" he screamed, and jumped to his feet. "We weren't expecting you this early in the day..."
"I know, we came to see your soundcheck and hang with you guys for awhile." Joey yelled back, hugging him.
"Well, those other dudes' soundcheck started later than scheduled, so ours is running late also. We'll be starting in about ten minutes, after everything's set up." AJ told us.
"Awesome, how long can we stay, guys?" I asked, turning to Jamal, Jimmy and Trev.
"We'll leave here at 11am, just to be sure." Jamal spoke up.
"Where are you headed?" AJ wanted to know.
"We have our first radio interview at noon!" Joey squealed.
"Wow, that's awesome... we'll try to listen to you... what station?" he asked.
"88.8 PIX FM..." Cher spoke up, smiling at AJ.
"Awesome, good luck on that." AJ finished, "I'll go get the guys out here."
Then he took off and came back a few minutes later with the other four guys.
"Hey girls..." Brian said in his adorable Kentucky accent.
"Hey Brian." the five of us said together.
"How you doing fellas?" Kevin asked the Fox, Luke and Tony.
"Pretty good, and yourself?" Luke spoke up.
"We're good... 'cept the damn soundcheck is running late and we have to be at a photoshoot at noon." Howie spoke up, stepping forward. They other guys nodded.
"What are you ladies up to today?" Nick asked us, grinning. Man, he was so adorable.
"We're here to watch your soundcheck for awhile, then we're going to our first American radio interview." Marce yelled, jumping up and down again.
"Wow, that's great, good for you." Nick replied. We all just nodded happily.
*45 Minutes Later*
At five after 11am, the guys had done two songs, and were working on some of the dances. I enjoyed watching them sing, dance and goof around on stage, while we sat front and centre, watching them. I think the other girls did too. And I saw Dare laughing, which was a good, good thing. But the guys, Fox, Luke and Tony, were getting very jealous. They wanted to be the star dancers, not the Backstreet Boys. They didn't like watching us laugh and giggle at them. Especially not Fox.
I looked at my watch and realized we should get going. And before I even said anything, Jamal, Jimmy and Trevor came back over to us, from backstage.
"C'mon gang, we're heading out!" Jimmy yelled.
"Oh, man, I'm so excited!" Joey yelled. And we all agreed.
We ran to the stage and the BSB stopped for a minute to say goodbye to us. Then we left the huge arena. We ran outside and right onto the bus, which was waiting in the parking lot. We were sooooo hyper and pumped about our first interview, that we weren't thinking about anything except this. I wasn't even thinking about Fox. I should have been, though. Us girls tagged the entertainment room, and locked the door. We took about three minutes, and just screamed, yelled, and jumped around, letting lots of our energy out. Can you picture that? Anyway, after we calmed down, we sat down and just started talking about it.
"What do you think we'll talk about?" Joey asked stupidly, not even thinking.
"Probably just the tour, and our cd, and stuff." Cher answered. I nodded.
"I wonder if the DJ will be a chick or a guy?" Marce wondered out loud. We all laughed at her.
"How long is it going to be?" Dare asked, knowing that we were already told. But she just wasn't listening.
"About half an hour." Cher answered.
It was about a ten minute drive to the radio station. We left the entertainment room and ran to the front of the bus, hoping we'd be there soon.
"Are we almost there?" Joey asked quickly, seeing that Jamal, Jimmy and Trevor were sitting in the kitchen area. None of the dancers were around, but we didn't really notice.
"Yup, see that building right there?" Trevor asked, pointing out the window at a building that looked about a million stories high.
"Uh, yeah?" I asked, thinking that could not be the building we were going to. Besides, there was probably about fifty screaming teenage girls, and a bunch of younger kids, too, standing outside the building.
"That's where we're going. When we get out, we're going in the side door, to the nineth floor. Then you'll get hair and make-up done, then you'll be on the air live, at noon." Jimmy told us our schedule.
"But... there are a ton of screaming fans outside that building, and they can't be here to see us." Marce laughed.
"Oh yeah, we forgot to tell you that there's a surprise for you waiting upstairs." Jamal laughed.
"Sweet, let's go!" Joey screamed, grabbing my hand. I grabbed Marce, she grabbed Dare, and Dare grabbed Cher. As soon as the bus stopped beside the huge building, we all ran off, in a line. We were so excited, we didn't even think about the dancers. We were too wrapped up with this, that we didn't know that they were going out for lunch with Jeffery, while we were at the interview. I was too wrapped up with this, that I didn't even say goodbye to my boyfriend.
We waited for Jimmy, since he was the only one who knew where we had to go. Then we went in a side door, not near the fans, and went up a few flights of stairs. Then we took an elevator the rest of the way. We got off on the nineth floor. Then we followed Jimmy and Trevor down a long hallway, and Jamal followed behind us. We stopped and Jimmy knocked on a door that had a sign that read Hair, Make-up and Wardrobe. The door opened and minute later, and, to our surprise, there stood Aaron Carter, grinning cutely.
