Chapter Nine:
Kisses and Goodbyes

When we were back in the dressing room again, I could still hear Nick's beautiful voice singing loudly. I smiled. Then I walked over to the mini fridge and opened it. Oranges, apples, kiwis... hmmm what did I want? I pulled out an apple for me.

"You want something?" I asked him.

"Uh, no thank you." he replied.

So I just closed the fridge again and walked back over to him. He closed the door. We both sat on the couch again. It was a little awkward, and I didn't want it to be.

"So, Fox..." I started.

"I have a question." he stated.

"Alright, what is it?" I asked quickly.

"What would you do if I kissed you?" he asked. Man, this was just like him. Why does he have to be so blunt?

"What?" I yelled, not thinking.

"C'mon, Fay, you know we're more than friends." he said sweetly, moving closer.

"I... I know that Fox... but are you sure we should?" I asked.

"I don't care if we should or not... I want to kiss you, and hold you, and be your boyfriend. That's what I want to be for you..." he said, sounding so cute. This was so just like him. I was actually waiting for him to do something like this.

"Well... I guess we could try." I replied. He grinned. I just about melted. I loved seeing him so happy.

"Man... I'm the happiest man in the world." he replied.

Then he moved closer, wrapped his arms around my body and pulled me inches from his face. I closed my eyes, tilted my head a bit, and leaned in. Our lips met and it sent shivers up and down my spine. It was a wonderful kiss. He didn't want to make it too dramitic, so he pulled away then. Still grinning, he told me,

"I've wanted to do that for so long now..."

"So have I, Fox... so have I." I grinned back.

Then he pulled me close again and placed his lips on mine. I decided to deepen the kiss, and it shocked him a bit. But he grinned and slipped his tounge in my mouth. Man, that felt so good. I pulled away for a second and asked,

"Is the door locked?"

"Uh huh..." he said, between kisses.

"Good..." I finished, and continued kissing him.

About ten minutes later, Fox was laying on the bigger couch, and I was right ontop of him. We were just kissing, nothing else, but I'll admit, things were getting out of hand. But neither of us wanted to stop. Luckily we heard voices outside the door.

"Hey! Fay! You in there?"

"Yeah...!" I sat up and yelled back, out of breath.

"You've been gone twenty minutes, and you said you were going to get fruit." Joey laughed.

"I got fruit!" I yelled, "But Fox came with me and we're... talking." I said, covering up for both of us.

"Alright, well it's twenty after 10pm, Christina's on her last song, we're just letting you know!" Dare yelled to me.

"Alright, thanks, we'll be right out." I finished.

After I knew they were gone, I whispered to Fox,

"We should go..."

"Do we have to?" he asked, "I love kissing you."

I grinned at him, "Oh really? Well maybe I'll sneak you into my bunk on the bus tonight, so you can kiss me some more" I flirted.

"Oh baby..." he said, "Are we gonna tell the girls, and my brothers?" he asked.

"Do you want to?" he asked.

"I don't know... I'm sure they'll figure it out." he laughed.

"And the girls already know we like each other." I smiled, "How bout I tell the girls and you can tell your brothers, if you want."

"Ok, deal... let's go." he stood up and grabbed my hand. Then we left the dressing room together. We found the girls and Tony and Luke standing together, watching the end of Christina's performance. It looked like Tony and Luke were hypnotized.

"Man, where were you, Foxy? You missed Christina's whole set." Luke laughed, not taking his eyes off Christina.

"I don't mind..." he grinned at me. But his brothers didn't even hear him.

After Christina was finished, it was just about 10:30pm. I knew we had to go onstage again, and Fox couldn't come. I turned to Fox again, and whispered,

"I'll be right back..."

He nodded as I grabbed Joey and Marce's hands. The the five of us ran out onto the stage. After us, came BSB, Aaron, soulDecision and Rowdy. Then Christina came back on. The crowd was still so wild.

"Thank you so much for making our first show of the tour awesome!" Christina yelled to them.

"Yeah, you were a great crowd, hope to see you all real soon!" Ken from soulDecision yelled. He was a cutie.

"Thank you everyone, we had a great night, and we hope you did too!" Aaron finished. Then we all joined hands and took one big bow.

Then the curtain went down. The show was done. I ran back off the stage into Fox's arms. I kissed his cheek.

"How long do we have before we're leaving?" I asked Jamal, who just happened to be standing near us.

"Our bus leaves at 11pm, and we're off to Daytona Beach." he replied.

"Thanks Jamal..." I smiled. Suddenly I was pulled out of Fox's arms. I turned around and saw Nick. Oh great, just what I needed.

"Hey you... what'd you think of the show?" he asked, giving me a huge hug. I saw Fox's jealousy starting up again.

"It was awesome, you guys rock." I told him.

"Thanks... what time is your bus leaving?" he asked.

"11pm. Yours?" I asked.

"11:30pm, we always have a long time to meet fans." he smiled.

"Cool, that's sweet. But since we have no fans yet, we can't really do that." I joked.

"You'll have fans soon enough, you just wait." he grinned.

"Thanks... um, I think I gotta go find the girls and stuff, so I'll see in Daytona, alright?" I asked.

"Oh... ok... see ya." he said sadly, and turned and walked away. I sadly turned back to Fox.

"Man, he really likes you, Fay..." Fox told me seriously.

"I know, that's what I'm worried about." I half-smiled. "I can't believe I'm choosing you over Nick Carter..." I joked with him. At first he looked upset, but then he cracked a smile.

"I... I gotta tell you something, Fay." he said.

"What-" I started.

But I was again pulled out of his arms, but this time it was by Joey and Aaron. Joey was screaming, for some reason.

"We have fans, Fay, people out there like us!" Joey yelled at me. I smiled, not saying a word.

"It's true, people outside want to meet you." Aaron yelled.

"Yeah, and people are even waiting outside our bus for us!" Joey was so hyper again.

"Wow, that's crazy!" I yelled.

"Oh yeah, and Jimmy told us to come get you two, we're going out to the bus now." Joey finished, looking sadly at Aaron. That meant that they would have to say goodbye for the night. Even though they'd see each other tomorrow, Aaron looked sad.

So the four of us walked over and found Jane Carter talking with one of the bodyguards. She smiled when she saw Joey holding his hand.

"There you are!" Jane yelled to her son, "Our bus is leaving in ten minutes, I was hoping we didn't have to leave without you." she joked.

"Haha, funny mom..." he said sarcastically.

"Aaron, go find Nick and say goodbye to him and the guys, then we gotta go." Jane told him. So he turned around and hugged Joey and me and said bye to us, then he took off.

"Joey, thanks for befriending Aaron. He usually doesn't have anyone close to his age on tour with him, he's glad someone is within five years of his age." she laughed.

"Oh, he's a really cool guy. I'm happy to hang out with him." she replied.

"Thanks again... I better go. See you girls in Daytona." Jane said and then she left after we said goodbye.

Then Joey, Fox and I went outside and found the rest of the girls with Jamal and Trevor. We were told that Jimmy was waiting on the bus for us. We signed a few autographs (that was so weird, yet so thrilling), and then we hopped aboard our new home on wheels.
