"Avery! Wake up! AJ's here... you slept in!"

I opened my eyes and saw Angel and Leslie both standing over me. I shook my head no in shock.

"Yeah right... are you serious?" I asked them. They both nodded.

"We didn't tell him you're not awake yet. GET UP!" Angel screamed. I jumped up.

"Damn! I wanted to have a shower and get ready and-" I yelled, running around my room. But I was interupted.

"Hey Avery!" I heard. I turned my head and saw Nick in the doorway. He was grinning!

"NICK! Get out of here! I have to get ready! Will AJ wait for me?" I yelled at him. He smiled.

"Calm down Ave. He and Rok are waiting downstairs, take your time." Nick told me. I smiled.

"Thanks Nick." I laughed. Then Nick nodded and he and his sisters left my room.

I hurried around to get dressed (in something reasonably nice) and then I brushed my teeth, did my hair and make-up and then ran downstairs. It was already 11:30am... they wanted to leave around 10:00am! As I ran into the living room where they were waiting, I saw them all looking at me.

"I'm so sorry Brian, AJ, I'm sorry." I told them quickly. They both stood up.

"It's ok Avery, we didn't get here when we wanted to... we woke up late too." Brian told me. AJ just nodded.

"Oh ok... well I guess we better go then." I said. They both nodded again and walked closer to the front door. Nick and Aaron both followed us to the door. "Bye Nick... bye AC, I'll see ya guys later alright??" I told them. Then I hugged Nick and Aaron, right before I followed Brian and AJ out to Brian's blue corvette. I got into the back seat and AJ got in next to me. As we pulled out of t he drive way I asked AJ,

"Why are you sitting with me back here?"

He shrugged. "Brian doesn't need any company up there." he laughed, "It would be rude to not sit with you."

"No it wouldn't." I told him, "I was late and you had to wait for me, I was rude." I replied. He shook his head no.

"NO! It was my fault. I should have called like I said I would. But Brian up there said we had to go, so I couldn't." AJ told me. I smiled.

"Oh that's ok... it was still my fault." I said.

"No it's not!" AJ disagreed again. Suddenly Brian interuppted us.

"You two are acting like a married couple!" he yelled. AJ and I looked at each other quickly. We both shook our heads no. Brian just laughed.

We started driving. We were out of Ruskin within half an hour. AJ and I were deep into conversation when Brian stopped and turned off the car.

"Yo! Bone!" he yelled to AJ.

"What man?" AJ asked.

"We're here man, we're at Leighanne's house." Brian laughed. AJ looked shocked, and I guess I did too.

"Seriously?" he yelled. Brian laughed again and nodded. AJ and I got out of the car. I was kind of scared to meet Brian's girlfriends Leighanne. I heard she was really nice but she was alot older than I was. I wasn't sure if we could be friends or not. She was 23.

I followed closely behind AJ as he followed Brian to the front door.
