"UNDERNEATH ACOUSTIC"
Sept, 19th New Orleans at the House of Blues
My husband and I and my friend Rhonda who has never been to a concert before in her life arrived at the House of Blues around 3:45 p.m. where we found a small line of fans gathered in the alleyway. We brung folding chairs to sit in and made ourselves comfortable. We meet fans from different parts of the world including Rachel and her boyfriend who's name I don't remember they are originally from Alaska, we meet fans from Missouri and many different parts of Louisiana. I also meet up with some old friends like Alaina, Erin, Shanna and a few others who's names I couldn't recall, sorry it's been 3 years guys.
While waiting we talked to many different ones and got to know them a little. We had reservations in the restaurant at 5:00 p.m. We decided to go in at little early to see if they would let us in at 4:30. We sat down and all 3 of us ordered Shrimp PoBoys and french fries. (Yummy, they were delicious!) There was a little 3 member blues/jazz band playing inside the restaurant, which was nice. One member was playing the Washboard!
After enjoying a great meal and some music we took our places back in line. Soon after Security moved us into another line in the alley for those who ate in the restaurant. (If you eat in the restaurant at the House of Blues you can get in earlier.)
More fans started arriving and the alleyway became filled with Hanson fans eager to get inside. Security began checking IDs and issuing wrist bands to those who were old enough to drink. Micah who is one of Hanson's crew members was there also handing out Meet and greet wrist bands. And those few that he picked left the line quickly to meet Hanson. At around 7:00 p.m. an announcement was made that no cameras what so ever would be allowed inside. Before anyone was allowed to go inside all bags were checked and we were scanned with metal detectors. Wow, that was a first!
At last! Finally inside an air conditioned building! We found our places to the right of the stage on the stairs and had an excellent view of everything! while waiting I got acquainted with those around me.
Finally the guys came out! And everyone screamed so loud! I had to put my fingers in my ears! The guys looked so good as usual! Taylor had on a white sleeveless Enjoy Coca Cola T-shirt with his favorite red suspenders. And a pair of brown pants with rhinestones on them. Ike had on a pair of khaki pants and a long sleeve white button up shirt and a red tie. Zac had on a green T-shirt. his pants had a few of those iron on patches on them (those decortive kind). Anyways they all looked Awesome! It was so good to see them agian after 3 years.
Everyone got into the music and had an Awesome time. I know I did!

I clapped and sang along to all the songs I knew. Taylor really got the crowd in a good mood and instructed us on how to clap and wave our hands in the air and told us to sing along. The guys never sounded so good! Each one of the guys sang a Solo. I was blown away at Zac's solo since he rarely gets the chance to do so! (Go Zac!) They sang a few cover songs like "Money" and an old Crosby, Steals and Nash song called "Teach Your Children Well" that I knew all the words to it.
During the show we could see Natalie and Ezra in the windows to the left above the stage bouncing along to the songs. Also at one point I turned around and Macky was standing behind me, but one of the Security guards told him it would be best to go back stage. He was just standing there watching his brothers perform like everyone else. I told my husband that he is Hanson's little brother. By the way he is a little cutie and looks very much like Zac.
I really enjoyed myself that night! My husband commented and said that it was one of the best concerts he has been to. My friend Rhonda said she also liked their music and had a great time!
Now came the time for them to perform their last song of the night which was "Song to Song". I was a little sadden that it ended oh so shortly! I could of stayed their all night just listening to them sing! But as the saying goes, All good things have to come to an end!
I purchased one of their CD's from Micah who was at the Merchandise table. I later found out that Jessica was at the Merchandis table too, I was sorta in a hurry I guess and missed her. Then we slowly made our way outside to the parking lot for our trip home! This good time will remain with me always!
GO HERE to see some pics from the concert!
Thanks goes out to Janet/Pea for the use of her pics!
