- Wednesday January 16th 2001- As you already know Ryan has left Downkast. But do not fear, this is not the end of Downkast!!! We have found a new guitarist! If you didn't notice on the index page, his name is Jason. All we could really tell you right now is that he's really into punk and went to school with Adam (bass) in grade 9. We have yet to jam, but intend on doing so soon. Once we've got things together we'll restart playing shows and posting our music. Keep checking back for more details.
- Tuesday Deceber 18th 2001- OK OK OK! DOWNKAST LIVE THIS FRIDAY AT ACI AUDITORIUM! The show is set to start around 1pm. Get there early or at 1 since we will be going on quite early! Ticket are only 3 freaking bucks! Tell how you could beat that??? Yea didn't think so! Anyways.. were getting pumped even though this will be a short set. We will be playign with two otehr great bands called THE MOE SISLAK EXPERIENCE and The Brian Liberty Band. Plus lots and lots of none band acts that are pretty damn cool. (cheerleaders baby!) - Saturday, November 17th- Howdy all! How you all doing today? Haha. We've got some good news for you guys. It is now confirmed, Downkast will be playing at the Agincourt Variety Show on what we think is December 21st. We still do not know the other bands but when we figure out we'll be sure to let you all know. It does cost something to get in, but I think it's dirt cheap. Ryan will also be playing with us! We are not sure if Ryan is indeed back or if it is temporary, but none the less this is gonna be an awesome show! Hope to see many of you there! Till next time! ~Adam~
- Friday, October 27th- Hey Everyone! Sooo now that we've changed things around here, we're going to try to start something serious. Our next show will be at The Agincourt Christmas Variety Show sometime in December. This wont really be much of a concert since we will only be playing one song. But none the less it's a gig. - Wednesday, July 25th- Hey Guys! Not much news in terms of up coming dates or shows but we predict that we may have a concert when skewl starts up again. As much as we'd love to have one in the summer, it's just too hard to do the publicity. - Thursday, June 7th- Howdy People! Yes it's almost time! "The Gila" is coming along! We're going to be playing with awesome bands such as The Abtract System, Gore, WhoLaughsLast?, Herman Nelson and more! If you thought Poisonfest in march was cool, then this will blow you away! Sooo many bands and the tickets are only 4$$$$!!! It will be held at Knox United Christien Center at 2575 Midland Ave (At Sheppard). "See Map". The Doors open at 6:00PM and the show starts at 6:30PM. - Friday, May 18th- Hi people! Well yes as always, lots of news! The first news is that Wayne, has decided to leave Downkast. We would like to wish him the best of luck with his other band. Gabe, our former drummer, in the EnergyLx/Headcase days has taken over drums once again. We have therefore looked into our friend Pacy as another guitarist. Pacy has many years of guitar under his belt, and has played in many other bands. Lastly "The Gila" has been confirmed. It will be held at Knox United Center (same as Poisonfest 1) on June 30th. - Wednesday, April 25th- Hey wassssuuup? (getting old!) hehe. Hope all our fan (and enemies) out there are doing great! Just here to update you all a bit on what's going on with downkast. First The Gila, is still going on, and should be near the end of june (after exams). We have also looked into playing some shows with Supernova Productions, over the summer, but we aren't fully sure about that yet. Ryan bought a HUGE (and i mean HUGE) amp two weeks ago, this thing, in like 150 watt, PISS LOUD! We should get the bio's of the other band members up soon enough, sorry about the wait! Thanks fer being so kewl as you always are!
- Tuesday, April 9th- Wow so much has happend in the past little while that it's going to be hard to explain. Oh well i might as well try! As you can see we are no longer called Headcase, in fact we changed our name last week to DownKast. We no longer play punk either, but rather alternative-core. Gabe who has 7 years of guitar playing under his belt has gone from playing drums to joining ryan on guitar. To replace him we've gotten Wayne, a solid drummer from former band Gore. The site is still really new so bare with me on links and stuff. I got some great action pics of how one of our jam sessions looks like. That's all for now (Bare with me....pleeeeez)
- Thursday, March 29th-Hey ya'll!! (cowboys)(??) Anyways if you weren't at Poisonfest ya missed out! The night went off without any major problems and the headlining Who Laughs Last? tore the place down with there distinct yet amazing sound. There was over 100 people there and the feedback that i've had soo far has been pretty much all positive! We may be having a Poisonfest II in May sometime. So be sure to check that out! Headcase is also looking into a 5th member, but let's just wait until things are official. That's all for now. peace out!
- Wednesday, Feb. 28st- Howdy Kids! We now have the confirmed dates for Poisonfest 2001, where HEADCASE will be preforming. The show will be held on Friday March 23rd at 7pm till 11pm at Knox United Church Christian Centre, doors open at 6:30. Other awesome preforming bands include *Poisondust, GORE, System Alive and Headlining the show will be the always amazing WHO LAST LAUGHS!

- Wednesday, Feb. 21st- Hello all! HEADCASE will be preforming at Poisonfest 2001! We're not quite sure when, but word is end of march. Rumoured bands include: System Alive, Herman Nelson, Poisondust, GORE and roots mood. The show will be held at Knox church community centre. If you like Metal/Rock/Punk this shows for you! Hey everyone! Since we last updated the site much has happened. After much conversation, we have chosen to rename the band. As of Monday Feb 19th 2001, EnergyLx has been changed to Headcase. We would also like to announce that are planning a show around the end of March or early April! We'll keep ya posted! I guess that's all for now, check back soon for new updates!
