What's new with the band
8/16/03 Fetal Genius is going to be performing a short disappearing act but will be back relatively soon. The website won't see many updates over this time period nor will the band's email be getting checked. So we look forward to next time we all get to desensitize you again.
7/13/03 Last night must have been the best show musically we have ever been a part of. Every band was on top of their game. The crowd was nice and rowdy and we are at our best in that environment. Thank you to everybody who showed and had a good time.
5/20/03 Fetal Genius will be playing limited shows this summer due to Jeni and Nate being in the Stage 212 summer musical "The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas." Check the shows page for upcoming dates.
5/17/03 Damn, The Battle of the Bands was a hell of a time. Jeni made her stage debut (pics of her coming soon) and did quite well. If it wasn't for our damn malfunctioning equipment (pulls hair) we're sure the whole night would've went a lot smoother. There was a fantastic turnout-that place was so packed. Hats off to Fixate, Double Dave Trio, and Dropt (the winners) for rocking the damn place. It doesn't matter who won or lost because everyone (and I mean EVERYONE) had a blast.
5/10/03 We are pleased to announce that we have a new bass player. Her name is Jeni Etheridge and she WILL be performing at The Battle of the Bands this Friday!
4/5/03 We played Scrouchfest IV last night and it was a blast. A lot of good bands kicking some ass, what more could you ask for? How about more than 30 minutes and $20. We'll be passing on this next year.
3/23/03 Ahhh, a couple shows at the Cancun. We played a show on 2/28 with a few bands and just a couple hours ago with Killing Conformity. A nice place to be.
2/17/03 It was nice to play a bar again. Although we're still recovering, the show went rather smooth. Thanks to Undermine again for letting us rock out with them.

1/19/03 We are officially taking preorders for "Beautifully Feeble Eat the Meek." $10 (reduced from $12) for those who just can't wait for the official release date (which currently is TBD-how come CD release dates never hold up?). 1/19/03 Last night's show kicked ass! The crowd was loud and into all the bands, and there was a good turnout. Expect more upcoming shows soon-can't wait to see you all.

2/01/02 Unfortunatly Mr. Shawn Cummings is no longer the bassist for Fetal Genius & will not be replaced
1/27/02 After indept review of the Statue Records contract we decided not to sign it do to discrepencies. (but still look for an EP or LP out of us in the next year or so.)
12/27/01 Fetal Genius played a solo show at The Lounge in Peru, IL (Thursday is not a good day of the week to play!!)
11/28/01 Fetal Genius got a distribution offer from Statue Records. Depending upon our lawyer's review of the contract we'll more than likely sign it.
