THE REST AND THE RARE

This section brings you the Stratovarius releases that aren't so-called studioalbums. This means singles, compilations, 7"-singles. There are points given also. These mean how rare this release is. So if you own a release that is rated Collector's item, I say hold on to it!

FUTURE SHOCK 7"-single
Rating:     * Collector's item!      Released: 1988

Includes songs:
        1.Future Shock
        2.Witch Hunt

This single was released before Stratovarius released their debut album Fright Night. At the time Stratovarius was signed to CBS-label.

BLACK NIGHT 7"-single
Rating:     * Collector's item!      Released: 1989

Includes songs:
        1.Black Night
        2.Night Screamer

Second of the two singles released before Fright Night. Amazing thing is that the single cover is exactly the same than the cover of Fright Night. Only difference is that this was called Black Night. So very rare nowadays.

BREAK THE ICE 7"-single
Rating:     * Collector's item!      Released: 1992

Includes songs:

        2.Lead Us Into The Light

This single was released before Twilight Time (aka Stratovarius II) and it was self released and self financed by Stratovarius.

WILL THE SUN RISE? -single

Another single release prior to Episode-album. This is almost like a "live" single since all the other songs but one are live-recordings.

FATHER TIME -single

        4.Kill the King

Single was released before Episode-album. It included the song Future Shock from Fright Night sung by Timo Kotipelto and a Rainbow cover of Kill the King sung by Timo Tolkki.

3 CD Bootleg Live recorded in Kawasaki City, Yokohama, Japan August 10th and 11th 1995. Definately album not to be proud of since the sounds are plain horrible. Layout is yet pretty nice and someone has really gone through some work putting this together. Not the only Stratovarius bootleg, there are lot's of those around. See FAQ.
