Reidar was, to his big despair (at that time!!) forced by his parents to attend pianolessons for two years when he was in primary school. "THANK YOU VERY MUCH, MOM AND DAD!!!" This is something he profited from when he started playing with the old guitar when he was 13. It can also be one of the reasons why he has become the one who writes most of the music. In the beginning he spent most of his time practicing, but he then joined "Melted Snow", then "Bullet" (w/Rune), so on to "Acme" (also at some time with Rune), "Misanthropic Anthropoids" (w/Rune) and a short performance with "MaleDog" and "Marius Opdahl Larsen with Band". After that he quit bandplaying to concentrate on his own music. After two years in a musical lethargy, he started the band "Frank Benjaminsens Quartet" and further on "Fluent Interplay" with Frank, Rune and Bjørnar. The break from bandplaying gave him the opportunity to polish a somewhat peculiar playing style. When you take a look at his gear, you can tell that he expresses a big variety in his sounds, which is an important contribution to the bands music. He also studies economics in Bodø.
