I really have no clue how many people read this column. I get no e-mails or anything of that sort saying "Hey Amir... good column. It seemed really interesting, considering the fact that I was bored off my ass!".... but that's ok.
Process on Ignition's album "finished" is going by REALLY slow. Keep in mind that all 4 of us are always busy, as it is a chore simply to get us into one room and practice for about an hour, let alone record in a studio.
As far as songs that are going to be on the album, 4 songs from last years release "Ignition Demo" will be on this album.. those four being "Color Me Human", "Kid", "High School Reunion" and "The Short One". Songs that are in the works at the moment are such ones as an acoustic song by myself called "Flourescent" with the possibility of some drum loops. A piano only song with Ken singing called "Yellow Rose" is going to close off the 13-14 song album, which hopefully will be completed (as far as recording and mastering goes) by July 14th.
I sinceraly apoligize (to all those who are actually waiting) for the delay of this album, as we are trying to make it sound like the best thing you have ever heard in your life. We don't want a cheap recording like most recordings come off when it comes to local bands (and I'm not dissing any bands.. it's just like that... especially with the budget that bands have to work with...).
THIS SATURDAY!!!!!!! IGNITION SHARES THE STAGE WITH MARIA FATAL AND EVERY SEVEN!! JULY 8TH AT THE CACTUS CLUB IN DOWNTOWN SAN JOSE!!!! If you EVER wanted to show support for us and show us how much you love us and/or like our music......THIS IS THE NIGHT TO DO IT! If you're not doing anything this Saturday night... MAKE YOUR WAY INTO THE CACTUS CLUB to hear some of the CRAZIEST, MELODIC, AND ENERGETIC MUSIC YOU WILL EVER HEAR IN YOUR LIFE!! If you are doing something.. CANCEL YOUR PLANS!!! WE PROMISE YOU WONT REGRET IT!!!

what kind of equipment do you guys use?
Ken - Epiphone Les Paul Copy with the sticker "Shadi" on the top of the neck covering where the Epiphone is supposed to be. Plays through a Marshall Amp.
Adam - Adam plays a Wooden guitar that is the greatest guitar I've ever seen. I don't know the company or the Amp he plays out of.. though I believe it's something like Voodoo..
Amir - Yamaha 4 stringed Bass through a Fender 100 Watt Amp.
Bobby - I know that Bobby uses a very fashionable drum set that is very.. red. The company and etc? I don't know. You would have to ask himself.

does ignition plan to have a new cd out soon?
This one I'll be much better at. Ignition is currently in the studio recording their full length debut entitled "finished". All 5 songs from the previous demo will be included with better arranging, production and over all quality on the songs. 6 to 7 new songs are being recorded as well. At this moment, the album hopefully looks to be availble sometime in mid June, Early July. We hope to distribute them like most local bands and have them be availble at Rasputin Records, Tower Records, Streelight, CD Warehouse and etc. Also, if/when you get the CD.. look out for a certain song that is not listed in the tracklist. It's not Ken or me (Amir) singing the song... we'll leave you to find out who it is.
