amir has returned from europe. he actually has returned a long time ago, but we only acknowledged his presence today. amir's trip was wonderful for him. but, besides that, ignition has a new show finally on november 18th. that's this saturday, kids! so we hope to see you there! also, pointless fact, but amir's birthday is actually the day before that show, so if you see him at the show, yell "happy birthday!" and give him a good beat down! (no, please don't beat him down. that would be very sad). other than that, ignition has done nothing. at least nothing that i know of. no one from the band has told me anything that's going on lately. they're being quite secretive. so, until the band is willing to give me a statement about what they are doing, then i will continue to say ignition has done nothing. because, it's true. anyway, enjoy your lives, and check out the info about the upcoming show at the shows section.

yes yes yes... ignition has done nothing for a while, except sit on their butt's, watching tv and eating chocolates. we apologize for that, but as you may know, amir has been gone on vacation to europe. also, a side note that doesn't matter, amir met with the deftones on his way there in the airport, who were also going to europe to start their europe tour. that was a cool experience. anyway, i haven't heard anything from neither ken nor amir recently, however, ignition will start recording again immediately. now that amir is back, it can be re-recorded into a much better quality. also, i'm guessing ignition wont be doing anymore shows until their cd is finished to devote their time into releasing this cd. so, until then.

ignition's show last saturday was a success. their set included songs such as the short one, forever and ever, alana's friend, kid, paradise, and look. ken says he'd like to thank all of our friends for showing up, and all the new faces that enjoyed our music. the songs they played on their set are more than likely all going to show up on ignition's upcoming full lenght album. speaking of the album, it looks very doubtful that the cd will be released this friday, which is the day they were planning on releasing it. they hope to try and get it done recording and producing wise, but then they'll have to take some time to copyright it and everything. so, who knows when it will be out. as soon as one of the boys from ignition tells me if there is a new release date, the cd is still being set for a july 14th release. however, that date is expected to change.

for those of you who read it, amir has a new interact column. also, ignition plays a new show at the cactus club with maria fatal and every seven this saturday, july either. be there, or be triangular. also, will ignition's cd be released by the due date? i dunno. right now, it looks sceptical. we'll let you know, though.

ignition has finished all their planned show dates. apparently, the cactus club show was one of the best shows ignition has had so far. the boys from ignition liked it a lot. i was going to go check it out, myself, but i couldn't cause of personal problems. anyway, ignition has no planned show dates now, (remember kids! the july 2nd show was canceled. don't go!!) but, although this is not confirmed news or even a rumor from a valid source, hopefully ignition will be throwing a release party for their new cd that comes out july 14, entitled "finished". this will be ignition's first full lenght! i'm very close to getting a design for the cover and a track listing in, soon. once i get these, i'll more than likely have information on how you can order the cd, as well. so, tell all your friends about ignition! also, sign up for the mailing list if you want up-to-date info on how to purcase the cd when it comes out by putting your e-mail address in the listbot box above. one more thing about finished, what i was told was that all the songs from the demo cd will be on finished. however, no one really knows. perhaps ignition will remove one before the release and add another song or something. until i hear it from either ken or amir themselves, i wont put my two cents on it. cause... that's the only two cents i have left.

the july 2nd show has been canceled. this is due the fact that the july 2nd show would have disturbed amir's vacation. ken and the rest of ignition apologize for not being able to play the show. amir, however, does not. amir will be enjoying himself in universal studios, therefor he doesn't have enough time to apologize.

newsbreak: very short notice show! ignition is playing at the *NEW* chemical free zone (the chemical free zone in campbell is no longer up and running. now it is in san jose) it's only 5 bucks, and more info can be found on the shows section. also, some people have been reporting some stupid screw ups in the background on the page. we are looking into it. i'll fix it whenever i can. if i find out how to fix it.

huge news for ignition fans. ignition's first full lenght release, "finished" will be finished (hehe) in only 2 weeks! it will be fully recorded, mastered, produces, and ready for release! however, ignition also plans to get the damn cd copyrighted before hand. of course they would. anyway, the release date hasn't been set yet, but it will be announced hopefully very shortly. also, the details for the show date has been added. finally, this website may sooner than later be changed to a www.ignitionsomething.com site. if it is, this page will take you directly to it. however, i plan on just using the angelfire server while i get a www site name. just to let you know.

a new show date has been added just a while ago. however, the details are sceptical. the date is correct, but the time is somewhere around 7 i'd say, not sure if it's a little before or after. i'll fix it when i can. also, dunno how much it is or who it's with. other than that, ignition has a new show date. as for the name change, things about that are all up in the air. right now, it looks doubtful that ignition will be changing their name. but, who knows? shows.

a new page shall be added to this webpage soon. this page will be called the "interact" page. amir himself shall submit a weekly article about things going on in the band, and perhaps even things going on in general. just a newsletter type thing, sort of. also, amir will be answering any questions by you, the people, and posting it on the interact page. also, much more stuff will be on the page for you to interact with the band. the page will be basically run by amir, and it will be just like any other ignition page. it will hopefully be up in about a week or two.

ignition played their show at the usual night club. after hearing from amir, i'm told that the show was awesome and a huge success. the band was greeted with their name in big print over the show, saying "ignition" and they thought it was really neat. they were extremley happy. they opened the show for T-MINUS 1 and TED, and the songs were 10 times better with adam as their soloist. the song "look" was their best song that night, followed by 5th period. this was the first show that the band did without practicing beforehand, and the first show they did with adam in the folds. the band was extremley happy about the show.

ignition has started recording for their upcoming full lenght cd, "finished". they've been recording demos of their songs to perfect it before they actually record them. also, a track listing has been picked, however not yet released. also, some new lyrics have been added. the song "angel" had a complete make over with brand new lyrics, and a new song, "upside down" which is a solo accoustic song by amir, has been added. check them out at the lyrics page. "finished" will hopefully be out by the june-july area, however, it is still not positive. we'll keep you posted.

ignition now has a second guitarist. amir was quoted saying "the ass kicking soloist and guitar player, adam jackson, has joined the fold as ignition member. he is not like ken and i, and will not switch intraments, but stay on guitar... probably wont sing either. he'll basically be the james iha (smashing pumpkins' guitarist) of ignition." so, adam jackson is now an official member of ignition. he will not be doing vocals, apparently, and will only stay on guitar. we'll get a picture and profile of adam as soon as I get my camera working.

at the show tonight, lots of little... odd things happened. first, someone stole bobby's snare drum! man, was he pissed. but... while the members of ignition were just walking around, they happened to see someone stuffing a snare drum in their trunk! man... bobby was even more pissed! he got his snare back, and because of the delay, ignition only was able to play 4 songs (angel, short one, look, and aaliyah's are you that somebody cover), but still, the show kicked ass, cause bobby was extremley pissed, and hit the bass drum as hard as he woulda kicked the guy's head in if he wasn't such a non-violent man. also, stitch kicked ass in the show, too. check them out at stitchweb.com

ignition has been put on a cd compilation which should be released somewhere in october. look for "wrapped in plastic" which will be released by shut eye records on the shelves sometime in october. this cd will feature one of ignition's punk songs, high school reunion.

new ignition concert, told by the man himself, amir. -- wassup all those people who enjoy listening to ignition.... umm.. hi! if you weren't at the chemical free zone last night.. you missed one hell of a show. we kinda drifted away from the club scene, and just played the good old fashioned teenage hang out place. this was possibly the best ignition concert experiance of my life. i basically reached deep down inside myself to scream "and i'll save you" when i saw the massive pit covering the entire teen center. also, nailing our new song "look" down, and playing it live was a pretty awesome experiance. from the audiences reaction, they really liked us! many people came up to me saying how much our show was awesome.. and if you were one of them, and you're reading this... let me once again say thanks. until whenever people... -amir. -- for all of you interested, ignition played kid, high school reunion, color me human, 5th period, the short one, look, and their own version of aaliyah's tell me you're that somebody for this particular concert.

ignition has played their final concert of the summer. after a last minute addition, ignition had the pleasure of opening up for monkey at the cactus club down in san jose, and considering it was a short notice arrangement, they did a very good job! special thanks go out to monkey and the cactus club for letting them play on such short notice.
