The dates for this summer's Vans Warped Tour 2001 have finally been signed off on, beginning June 22 in Phoenix, according to a spokesperson at Kevin Lyman Productions.

The tour, which includes 311, Weezer (though the band's managers vehemently denied they were on it when allstar first reported it a month ago [allstar, Feb. 5]), Rancid, Pennywise, Rollins Band, Bouncing Souls, New Found Glory, Alien Ant Farm, Good Charlotte, Less Than Jake, Me First & the Gimme Gimmes, and NOFX's Fat Mike and the Foo Fighters' Chris Shiflett's all-covers side-project, among others, will continue through some 40-plus cities through Aug. 12 in Pontiac, Mich.

In addition to the aforementioned acts, the tour will also include Kool Keith, Misfits, Dub Pistols, Fear, Grand Theft Audio, H2O, the Vandals, AFI, the Ataris, Big Wig, Distillers, Guttermouth, the Julianna Theory, Jepetto, Morgan Heritage, No Motiv, Userfriendly, River City Rebels, Sugarcult, Midtown Esham, Kill Your Idols, Madcap, and Saves the Day. The Black Eyed Peas and Dropkick Murphys, as previously reported (allstar, Feb. 5), will not be on the tour after all.

As previously reported, Warped will also introduce Incredibly Strange Wrestling to this year's festivities, which pits odd combinations of people in the ring against each other as well as the usual selection of extreme sport athletes to entertain folks when they need a break from the music.
