**If any Meek Band Member has pictures they would like to see on here, please email me or contact me soon. I would be happy to post them here.**
The band banquet was held on May 11, 2001. This is our guest speaker, Mr. Dale Bloodworth. He was an old director of the band. | The 2001 seniors gather for one of their last pictures together. (Left to Right) Justin Bell, Christi James, Josh Burgess, Amber Thomas, John Williams, Gabrie`l Ganey, Brad Williams, and Jeff Benson. |
John Williams (left) and Jeff Benson sing their original song "Camel Caravan" for the last time. | Juuuuuuuuustin takes his turn giving his final "senior speech" at the banquet. |
This is the 2001 All-State Honor Bands. This year the Meek Band had five members make the honor bands and three members make alternates. | This is Tyler Overton. He was one of the All-State alternates. In this picture, he is on the fourth floor of the Auburn Draughton Library, holding some kind of college physics book he found. |
In this picture, the band is heading home from Court Street Cafe`. The band ate there after performing at the Alabama State competition in Florence, Alabama, at the University of North Alabama. | (Left to Right)Melissa Harrelson and Tabitha Campbell. Tabitha is the 2001-2002 drum major and Melissa is the 2001-2002 drum captain. |

This is the band performing in the annual Arley Day Parade a few years ago. | This picture was also taken a few years ago. It is the Meek Band during one of their Christmas concerts. |
Here, the band is marching one of their opening sets in this past year's band camp. | On the first day of band camp, a deer wandered onto the practice field. It was a tame deer and throughout the morning, tried to "nudge" band members. It was very fond of our drum instructor, Wesley. |
This is eighth grader Amanda Snyder. She's a member of the front ensemble. | Tyler Overton is a "mini-section leader". He is the #1 mallet guy and head of Meek's front ensemble. |

(Left to Right) Ariel Wright, Amanda Snyder, Dylan Byrnside, Daniel "Dog from Mars" Taylor, Chris Hopkins, and Nikki Thompson. |
It is a tradition for the Band of Champions to form a pinwheel during their halftime show, usually during the drum solo. | This is a crazy show the band performed at their last home game three years ago. Again, I apologize for the age of these pictures. |
The guy playing trumpet was our first chair trumpet player, Adam Rogers. | Drumline: (Left to Right) Tricia Allen, Johnathan Ferguson, Daniel "DFM" Taylor, Melissa Harrelson, and Nikki Thompson playing during their drum solo. |
The drum major that year was Alisha Williams. The guy laying down on the field is Mike Cantrell. At the beginning of the crazy show, he would run out and play in the wrong places so Alisha "shot" him with a cap gun. | One of the gags in the crazy show was this guy. He wasn't a band member, but he pretended to pay off our drum major to direct one song. He jumped onto the podium and "directed" Land of 1000 Dances. |
Senior Ginger Russell is our 2001-2002 Band Captian. | This is Melissa Harrelson. Everyone calls her Mu (pronounced "moo"). |
This picture was taken three years ago. It is Nikki Thompson when she was in eighth grade kicking back in the bandroom. | Here is a picture of Senior (and Drum Major) Tabitha Campbell when she was in eighth grade. |
Here is Nikki Thompson and former first chair clarinet player Amber Thomas at a Beta Club convention. (No, those aren't real.) | Wesley French was last year's drum instructor. He is a member of the University of North Alabama Drumline |
This is Nikki in Hollywood Planet in Atlanta, Georgia during a spring trip to Six Flags two years ago. | Here is Dylan "Bradley" Byrnside sitting behind his bass drum when he was in seventh grade. |
The drummers play "dead". | This year's drum major in 7th grade. |
Here's Nikki in a hotel room during a spring trip to Gatlinburg when she was in seventh grade. | This is our band director, Nancy Frith. |
On the left is Josh Williams, a former french horn player for the band. To the right is Nikki Thompson. | This is Melissa Harrelson and Nikki Thompson sitting in Nikki's new car. |
