Bored of sitting at home getting fat,
Gilly, Ben L and Ben C decide to visit the pubs of the area in the hope of
getting a gig. Despite having no demo tape all three are enthusiastic but
after 2 hours walking, without success, spirits are becoming dampened. A small
pub named "The Glass Barrel" is noticed and even though it looks far
to small to stage a gig Ben L decides that they should try there anyway. The
three find that the pub is under new ownership, and that the new landlord
likes the idea of live bands playing. Using their best blagging skills they
convince him that they are a decent band and he agrees to give them a gig even
though he has never heard them play. The band leave with a gig booked for
Saturday 26th August.

As we finish our gig at The Glass Barrel the landlord approaches us and says
he was impressed. We are told he wants us back to play again, and that we are
to go and arrange it with him in around 4 weeks.

Three days after the Glass Barrel gig Gilly announces that we have another gig
booked. It is in Manchester on Friday 20th October, at the venue next to the
Academy. The venue is the Contact Theatre. We will be playing about 3 songs
along with some other bands and lots of other crap.

It's official that Melted Cat will be playing the Glass Barrel once again

recognition from people who saw us last time. It's on November 18th 2000 Glass

We are now, after months of inactivity (apart from the demo), seeming to be
going on a miniature tour of the area in late April/early May. We have
two dates set in stone and a third is in the process of being organised.
The first is The Glass Barrel, Tyldesley Saturday 28th April
2001.
