They rush into the next room. They go to they window and as they get closer they see that it has been broken Katy: (Leans to look out the window and gasps) Dave! Donna: (leaning out) Dave, you're ok we thought you were dead! Dave: I'm hardly ok. I'm gonna fall any minute. You have any idea how long I've been hanging here?! Can someone get me up please! Scott: (leans out and grabs his hand) I got you bro! Dave: I really thought I was gonna die. Get me in now. I think after this I'm gonna share you fear of heights! Scott: (Tries to pull him up) When did you get so heavy? Dave: (Fearfully) Don't let me go! Aaron: (Leans out and gets Dave's other hand) Don't worry. I got you. (He helps Scott pull him up) Donna: (rushes to Dave and hugs him) Are you ok? You're not hurt anywhere are you? I'm so glad you're ok! Katy: How did you manage to hold on for so long? Dave: There was a brick jutting out that I had a foot on and I was holding on to a spike or something.. I'm just happy to be alive! Aaron: We're all glad you're alive too. Scott: (seeing Donna still has her arm around Dave says moodily) Yeah, I bet Donna's the happiest cos now she can be with him! Dave: (grinning) Scott, don't be such an idiot. It's obvious she really cares about you. I'm happy for you. Scott: (surprised) You are? Dave: Yeah, I guess when you get close to death you realise what's important. You're my brother, man. That's way more important. I don't want anything to come between us specially not a girl...no offence Donna. Donna: (smiling goes to Scott and gives him a hug) I really care about you Scott! I thought you would have realised that. I just didn't think that it was an appropriate time to get down what with struggling to stay alive and that. Although it didn't stop some people! Katy: (blushing and giggling) Shut up! Aaron: Ok so maybe it was an inappropriate time but at least I found out the girl of my dreams actually liked me. If it weren't for the other events of the night I'd be on top of the world! Katy: (smiles and gives him a kiss on the cheek) Can we get out of here now please! Donna: Can you hear something? Dave: Yeah but I dunno what it is! Aaron: That bang! What do you think it was? Katy: (seeing smoke begin to creep in under the door) Shit! It sounded like some kind of explosion! Donna: What! Here! In the school? Scott: We've got to get out of here! Dave: (panicking) Fire, we're on fire! Donna: I thought we were safe and now we're all going to be burnt! Scott: We don't know how bad it is yet! (moves towards the door and goes to open it) Katy: (leaping and knocking him out the way) Wait! (feels the door handle to see if its hot) Ouch. Ok everyone stand well back in the corner over there! Donna: What are you doing? Katy: Don't you ever watch London's Burning? Now stop arguing and go in the corner and lay on the floor just in case. Aaron: Katy! I'm not letting you get hurt. This sounds like it's dangerous. Katy: (firmly) In the corner now! Oh wait give me your jacket. (Scott, Donna and Dave go and lie down in the far corner from the door. Aaron gives Katy his jacket hesitantly and then joins them. Katy ties the jacket to the door carefully and then pulls down on it and throws herself out of the way, landing heavily. The door swings open and a big flame shoots into the room then dies back down again. Aaron jumps up and rushes over to Katy who is laying on the floor still) Aaron: Katy! Are you ok? (distraughtly) Did you get burnt? Katy? Katy: (trying to sit up) I'm fine, I think. (Tries to stand but nearly collapses Aaron holds her to stop her from falling) I've hurt my leg. Donna: (getting up and coming over) You're not burnt though are you? Katy: No. I think I'm ok. It was pretty scary though. Scott: You probably saved my life! It's a good thing you stopped me from opening the door. Dave: That was so brave of you. You risked your life to make sure we were fine! Katy: Look it was nothing special. We still have to get out of here you know. So can we quit talking and move, please. Aaron: Yeah, let's go. I don't really wanna stay around to be toast! Scott: How bad is it out there? Katy: (peering round door) Pretty bad! It's not so much the fire as the smoke! Donna: We'll it will only get worse so let's go. Aaron: Katy, cover your mouth with this to block the smoke and don't let go of my hand. (He rips two bits of his T-shirt off and gives one to her to cover her mouth and uses the other himself. He takes her hand tightly and looks concerned) Are you going to be able to walk ok? Katy: Yeah I'm sure I'll be fine... (she puts weight on the leg to demonstrate the fact and yelps in pain)..or maybe not. Aaron: Put your arm around my shoulders and put your weight on me. I'll help you walk..I'll get you out of here. Katy: (she does as he says and then turns her attention to Donna) Stick with Scott won't you and cover your mouth. Scott: Don't worry Katy. I'll take care of her. Donna: I'll be fine Scott. You should help Dave. Dave: Look we'll just all stick together and be fine. Now let's go or do you want to stay here and discuss it a bit more so that the whole place is on fire.
