Sunburn - MUSE

Transcribed by Basim: baz@shams.demon.co.uk

Piano Intro arr. for guitar

|---7-----7------|---5-----5------|---8-----8------|---5-----5------|
|-----8-----8---8|-----5-----5---5|-----8-----8---8|-----5-----5---5|
|-9-----9-----9--|-5-----5-----5--|-9-----9-----9--|-5-----5-----5--|
|(10)------------|(7)-------------|(10)------------|(7)-------------|
|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
|----------------|----------------|----------------|----------------|

The notes in brackets are the correct notes, but are a little tricky
to
play, so you can play the notes given on the G-string instead.

Bass is played in drop D tuning, but when I write a note down, I mean
the
actual note, ie an 'E' is 2nd fret on low or high D or 7th on A etc.
Bass pattern : E/A/C/A for verse (feel a guilty... etc)

Chorus (BASS): The fast bits are triplets (three notes played in the
space
of a crotchet time length)

G|----------0-1-2-|-0-1-2--0-2-1-0-|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|-2--2--2--------|----------------|
A|-0--0--0--------|----------------|----------------|----------------|
D|----------------|----------------|----------0-1-2-|-0-1-2--0-2-1-0-|

Guitar Chorus: Am/Em throughout

Guitar fill:

|------------------10-11-|12-11-10----------------| X3
|12-12-11-10-11-12-------|---------12-11-10-11-10-|
|------------------------|------------------------|
|------------------------|------------------------|
|------------------------|------------------------|
|------------------------|------------------------|

|10-11-12-11-10----------|------------------10-11-|12-- X1
|---------------12-11-10-|12-12-11-10-11-12-------|----
|------------------------|------------------------|----
|------------------------|------------------------|----
|------------------------|------------------------|----
|------------------------|------------------------|----

Okay, the piano bit is different in the second verse, but it really
should
be left to the piano, just play the intro pattern again.

Guitar 'solo': You can tell if you've played this right if your
plectrum
is broken after you've done it- strum very fast

|-0--------------------| |-12--15-14-12-11---8-7-3-| play that last bit
|-5/slowly-slide-up-to-| |-17----------------------| twice
|----------------------| |-------------------------|
|----------------------| |-------------------------|
|----------------------| |-------------------------|
|----------------------| |-------------------------|

The song ends on two spooky arpeggios, try and keep up will you!

|--7--8-7-----7--8-7---|---7--8-7-----7--8-7---|
|-8-8----8---8-8----8--|--9-9----9---9-9----9--|
|9--------9-9--------9-|-9--------9-9--------9-|
|----------------------|-----------------------|
|----------------------|-----------------------|
|----------------------|-----------------------|

I know I've missed out the bit where matt slides during the last
chorus,
but just improvise & play by ear.
