Collin-Vocals Mike-Guitar Ed-Guitar David-Drums Dan-Bass

Describing the band known as MUTINY is almost impossible. I will attempt to do it in the next few pages. It all starts back in 1997, when Mike decided to start a hardcore band. At this same time, Collin wanted to start a hardcore band, but we did not know eachother yet. We met on a crisp autumn afternoon, and decided to form a band. With no other members at the time, things stayed on the back burner while we seached. Mike (Guitar), and Collin (Vocals) searched up and down the front range, but with no luck. We hired our friend Preston to play bass, but he could not really play at all. We later got Jordan to play bass for us, but he later left the band to pursue a career at the GAP, as a fulltime model for underwear. Our first show was in a frat house basement, with Jeb on drums, Jordan on bass, Mike on guitar and Collin on the mic. We had Tom on drums for awhile, but now we don't. Shortly after our first show, we got a new line-up and recorded our "demo" tape. We made about 75 copies, all of which we sold at shows we were not playing. Sean then moved to the position known as "percussion" and Bryan from the Scott Baio Army moved in on Bass. In October 2001, David from the infamous Colorado hardcore band "Letdown" joined the group, and then a few months later Letdown guitarist Ed joined to add a fuller sound to the band. In September 2002, Aaron joined the band as a short term bass player, and he will be leaving in December. As of March 2006, we recorded an album, and are playing shows around the state. We have a 7" under our belts now that was released in the USA and in Europe.

FAMILY TREE
We went through many members for various reasons, so here I will list a family tree of our old and current members.
DRUMMERS
Tom Dunbabin:
August 1998 to May 1999
Tom was out first drummer, and we met him at an
H20/Kill Your Idols show. He left in May 1999
to go back to California for the summer.

Jeb: June 1999 to August 1999
Jeb filled in over the summer to help us out, and
played out first show with us. Tom moved back, so
he rejoined the group.

Tom Dunbabin:August 1999 to May 2000
Tom rejoined the group, and recorded the DEMO with
us, and played our first real show(Basement Mosh) in
November 1999. Tom moved back to California
in May, so we got a more full time drummer.

Sean Klassen:May 2000 to April 2001
Sean was playing bass for us, and when Tom left for
California again, Sean stepped up to the plate
to play drums. He left the band to concentrate
on other styles of music.

Robb Woods: April to May 2001
Robb was in the band for one month to the day. He
played 2nd guitar for our record release show
and when Sean left, Robb filled on for one show
on 5/16/01 with Ensign, and then quit the band
after the show!

NO ONE!!!May 2001 to November 2001
We did not have a drummer, and did not even practice.
Imagine putting out your record,
playing an awesome release show, then playing with
ENSIGN, and then not playing for 6 months.

David Sprunger: November 2001 to Present!
He is holding down the record as our most tenured
drummer!

BASS
Preston:August 1998 to October 1998
He said he could play bass, but once we started practicing
we heard otherwise!

Jordan:October 1998 to August 1999
He was a good bass player, but he was more interested
in Skateboarding, and lost interest in Hardcore, so
after our first show in the Frat house basement,
we took a break, and reformed the band with
a new bass player. No one wanted to tell him
that he wasn't in the band, so we started practicing
without him. He didn't care.

Sean Klassen:August 1999 to May 2000
We could not find any straight edge bass players, so
we asked Sean who is a guitarist to play bass.
He went out and purchased bass gear, and did a great job.
When Tom left, Sean decided to play Drums,
and it turns out that he was an amazing drummer.
He recorded the drums on the 7".

Bryan Flanagan:May 2000 to August 2002
Mike was asked to play in the SCOTT BAIO ARMY and
played guitar for them at one of their first shows
and Bryan was the bass player for the Army. When
Mutiny was looking for a bass player, we thought
about asking Bryan, but we did not know if he
would be interested since he mainly listened to
Thrash. It turns out that Bryan was raised on
JUDGE/GORILLA BISCUITS/YOUTH OF TODAY and he had
always wanted to play in an old school hardcore
band. He and Collin would go crazy together on
stage and always made the live shows a lot of
fun! He got married, was working 70 hours a
week, and only had one night a week with his
wife, so he left on great terms to have more of
a life.

Aaron:October 2002
He played two shows with us, and went NUTS live.
Aweseome kid. Moved back to Chicago.

Ed:November 2002
Ed filled in on bass for one show, where we met Weston
who wanted to play bass for us.

Weston Woodward:December 2002 to Fall 2005
Weston comes from a family of Bass players, and knows
his stuff. He started in our band at the age of
17, and brought the youth to the band.

Dan Houston:Fall 2005 to Present
Dan is a well accomplished guitar player, and he is an
amazing bass player. One of his favorite bands is UNITY, and that's
okay with us. He knows his stuff.

GUITAR
Mike:August 1998 to Present
Founding member, and has never left the band!

Robb Woods:April 2001
We had never had a 2nd guitar player, and he thought
we should have a 2nd guitar player, so he
filled in for our record release show in April.
After the show he went to drums for one show, and
then left the band.

Ed Mitchell:March 2002 to present
Ed had been playing in bands with David for years, so
we thought it would be a good idea for Ed to
help fill out the sound, and he has been doing it
ever since!!

VOCALS
COLLIN AHRENS:August 1998 to Present
We've only had one vocalist, and will never have
another one.
