Daniel's Story
"They were playing at a little small town baseball game in Lakewood, N.J. and I thought that maybe I might meet them, but then it was all roped off. Then I found this spot that wasn't roped off by the tour buses. And then Vivian came out and I yelled to him. He came over and I had him sign a tour book. At the same time Sav came over, but I was more interested in Vivian. I asked him "Don't you really want to get up on stage and play 'Man on the Silver Mountain?' and Vivian said "Yeah thats a cool riff." Then I asked him if he had a guitar pick that I could have and he started emptying his pockets, pulling out everything in them, and he said "Sorry I cant find one." I was pretty bummed, but while he was looking I said "I have to have a pick from my favorite guitarist" and he said "Let me go on the bus for a litlle while and I'll be back to sign everyone else's stuff," only signing my book. Then about an hour later he came out and said "I found one" and I said "Found what?" and he said a pick and he gave it to me. Then all the other members came out but Rick and they all signed my book. So I asked Vivian if he could tell Rick to come out and meet a few fans. He said "I'll try."
About 10 minutes later Rick came out talking on his cell phone. Once he got off I yelled to Rick "Come on Rick - your my favorite drummer ever," which he is. He came over and signed my book on the cover and a cool picture inside for me. Then he left and came back with a signature series drumstick for me and then signed it and gave it to me. I forgot that I had my guitar in the truck and missed all of DL on that. Thanks for reading."
