There is a rumor that Chris will be featured on an upcoming Smashing Pumpkins compilation tribute album. Chris is supposedly going to cover a song named "Ugly", which was a b- side to SP's "1979" single. The rumored tracklisting, as reported by a fan from the SOMMS list is as follows:

Jeff Buckley’s live album, “Mystery White Boy” was released on the 9th. The very end of the thank you’s read, “Eternal Love to Susan & Chris for their supreme generosity.”
According to a member of SOMMS, Chris was at the Eleven/ Queens Of The Stone Age show at the Showbox in Seattle on May 16th. He was backstage with Ben Shepherd, members of Eleven, QOTSA, and Pearl Jam (Matt Cameron and Stone Gossard). When asked about Susan's condition, he replied, "She's the most beautiful, healthy, pregnant woman ever."
Vh1 recently aired "Behind The Music: 1992". The show basically talked about rap/ hip hop, "grunge"/ the Seattle music scene, and the evolving styles of music. It, surprisingly showed a lot of Soundgarden pics (some I've never seen before), live clips, and a commercial Chris did that year to promote Rock the vote. Chris and Susan were also interviewed (separately) about the scene and the music of that year.

Marty Diamond, one of the founders of the Lilith Fair has made a proposal to MTV for a possible TV show concept called "The Living Room", hosted by Beth Orton. Chris was mentioned as a possible performer.

Chris' new song, Mission 2000, on the new MI:2 soundtrack can be downloaded in MP3 format, anon login/password. Some people have been having problems accessing the site. If this happens to you, I heard Napster's a good place to try.
For 24 hours, starting 12.01AM Eastern Time, May 8th, you'll be able to hear the entire Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack on MTV's website.
Don't forget, the Mission Impossible 2 soundtrack will be out on Tuesday, May 9th. It will include a new version of "Mission" called "Mission 2000".

Backstage at one of the Texas shows, John Popper and some of the members of Blues Traveler showed up with strippers. From the vibe I got from posts on SOMMS , it didn't seem like they were too welcome. Nonetheless, Chris (who was reportedly intoxicated) did a lap dance for John.
There's a rumor on the SOMMS list that Chris' Las Vegas show at the House of Blues was being recorded for the Vh1 show, "Live at the House of Blues".

For those of you who didn’t watch the Grammy’s, Chris did not win. He lost to Lenny Kravitz. The award presentation wasn’t even broadcasted on television. On a "happier" note, Nick Carter (the blonde Backstreet Boy) said "Euphoria Morning" is one of his favorite CD’s.
Chris had to cancel his Norfolk, VA show due to the flu.

Chris and his wife, Susan Silver, are expecting their first baby this June. He made the "announcement" during the Modern Rock Live interview by saying "My wife and I are pregnant".
Chris will be interviewed for "Malfunkshun: The Andrew Wood Story", a documentary about the late Mother Love Bone singer.
The video for "Preaching the end of the world" was premiered on 120 Minutes (MTV) last Sunday. The video was very simple, just Chris singing and the background changing. And, by the way, Mr. Cornell directed the video himself.
On Monday, February 7th, Chris guest DJ- ed at 107.7 The End (Seattle). According to a fan on the SOMMS list, who spoke to Ric Markmann (Chris' touring bassist), Chris will be making a new video sometime between now and February. The new single will be "Preaching the End of the World".
Dates from Chris' 2000 US tour have been announced. There is a rumor that he will also be returning to the UK later this year.
A bit of gossip: Chris was voted the sexiest male celebrity most wanted to be seen in a porn movie by Juice, a New Zealand music channel.

Last Friday, December 3rd, Chris was named the # 3 Best Male Singer on Vh1's "The List". He was behind Frank Sinatra (#1) and Al Green (#2). I missed the show, but according to someone on the SOMMS list, some people booed when his name was mentioned.

The video for "Can't Change Me" has been banned from the UK. Chris' UK spokesperson was quoted as saying, ".. we can't have our role models set on fire!"

The "Can't Change Me" single will be released on October 11 in the UK
"Euphoria Morning" debuted at #18 on the Billboard Charts. However, this week it will fall to #41 on the Billboard 200 and climbs up to #8 for Top Internet Sales. "Can't Change Me" remains in the Top 10 for Modern Rock Tracks.
According to the SOMMS list, Chris will be interviewed in an Andrew Wood movie, due out next year.

Chris will make his television debut on The Late Show with David Letterman (CBS) on November 15th
All the reviews of the sold out, six- date, mini tour have been great. Even celebrities were in attendance at some of the shows. (San Francisco: Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam, and Kirk Hammett of Metallica; Los Angeles: Rob Zombie, members of No Doubt, Darryl Hannah, Robert Redford, Corey Feldman).
Dates for his US tour have been announced and many have gone on sale already.
If you haven't bought "Euphoria Morning" yet (SHAME ON YOU!), buy it at a Tower Records location. With the purchase, you get a free CD-Rom. The CD-Rom is basically all the clips they've been showing on CCTV but in better quality.

Chris will be featured on MTV’s "Making the Video" for his new video, "Can't Change Me". The show will be on Monday night (September 6th) at 10:30 PM.
Chris will be on "120 Minutes" on MTV on Sunday, September 19th.
The Official Chris Cornell Website reports that Chris will tour the US all through November and December of this year. He also has several tour dates in other countries before that.
Keep listening to those radios! Rumor has it that "Euphoria Morning" (in its entirety) may be aired the week of the mini tour.
Chris appeared on XFM, a UK radio station yesterday, August 29th. Sorry, I didn't hear about it in advance. You could've gone to their website to listen to the radio show being broadcasted live- if you have a Real Player.

Chris was named a judge for a contest hosted by UBL. It’s an unsigned band competition and the winner receives a record deal.
