According to the Jack Endino newsletter (#18), the WTO Band CD "should be out soon on Alternative Tentacles as the 'Anti-WTO Combo Live from the Battle in Seattle' or something similar'". The LP is entirely live, with no re-recording.

For those of you who have forgotten, WTO is comprised of Jello Biafra, Krist Novoselic (bass), Gina Mainwal (drums), and, of course, Kim Thayil on guitar.

A recorded interview with Kim will be on "display" (not sure how that works) at the Seattle Music Museum.

The combo formed for a one-off show during the World Trade Organization (WTO) controversy last year, and rolled tape for an album that will be released May 8 on Biafra's Alternative Tentacles label. The collection will be titled The No WTO Combo: Live From The Battle In Seattle. The band actually grew out of the Spitfire Tour, which visited New York Tuesday night (March 28).

"WTO" stands for World Trade Organization. It's "a benefit for the institute for consumer responsibility"; a protest against the World Trade Organization. In Chris' interview with Classic Rock, he says, "Kim has been trying to compile a B-sides album which we don't have any plans on releasing any time soon. It's just a project that he's really gotten into. It's mainly because of the A-Sides album that we had to let A&M release. That wasn't exciting for us, we were never a singles band. There are a lot of people in the States who've never heard a lot of the B-sides stuff so they might be interested in that. There's also going to be some stuff on there that no one's ever heard."
