Side Effect News -------- Update 3/12/01

Greetings fellow music lovers! It's been a while since we've posted new
information, but the time has come to share with all the latest S.E. news!!

On Saturday March 10, Side Effect hit the stage again, this time at Glen
Garriff's in Palos, Il. A great show it was and we thank all of you who came out
to support us and those of you who bought up the last of our first batch of cds.
Some of you may have noticed that we were a little different this time around.
Part of that is because we are the only band Glen Garriff's has probably ever
seen do all original material, not to mention T-Maz's unusual "E-Kit," which was
beautifully decorated for the event. Or maybe it was the fact that we were a
little heavier than some of you may remember. Well, all of that being true,
there was one very important difference.

A few weeks ago, rhythm guitarist Jimmy made the official announcement
that he will no longer be playing with Side Effect, for personal reasons. The
news came as a shock to us, and it was very disappointing to lose such a
talented and all around great guy. The break was definitely on good terms, and
hopefully in the future, Jimmy can get up and jam with us a few times, but as of
now, it looks as though he will no longer be in our lineup. We're very sorry to
see Jimmy leave, but we wish him nothing but the best of luck with all of
turmoils that life is throwing at him right now.

       For
those of you who have known us since the beginning, you know it is a
common thing for Side Effect to lose guitarists, but you also know that this
minor setback doesn't hold us back for long!  Saturday's show as a four-piece
was a huge success, and because of some recent promotional work, it is only a
small step in the huge leap that we will be taking in the coming months of
spring.

As of right now, no official show dates are booked, but look for Side
Effect to be playing a couple of new clubs in the south suburbs, as well as a
few clubs in Valpo, IN, and in the surrounding areas. Also, we've been writing a
lot of new tunes, and although we have no scheduled studio time right now, we
are planning on making some homemade demos to give our fans a taste of what is
yet to come.

So, be sure to check back often, sign our guest book, and click on the
shows link for the coming of spring. Also, look to see when we add the new pics
of Saturday's performance to the pictures link, for those of you who couldn't

join us. feel free to e-mail the band or individual members to find out more
information. Until then ----------   CHEERZ!!!!!!!
