Let's take a look back at what was said a couple years ago...

Well, it seems that everywhere you turn these days people are listening to Hanson, they're on TV, being nominated for awards, and their album is flying off the music stores' shelves.

From appearances to huge accomplishments...

Hanson has performed on The Jenny McCarthy Show, The Rosie O'Donnell Show, Today, CBS This Morning, MTV's House of Style, Live w/ Regis & Kathie Lee, Late Show w/ Dave Letterman, Good Morning America, Fox After Breakfast, Oddville, The Tonight Show w/ Jay Leno, The Weird Al Show, Oprah, Late Night w/ Conan O'Brien, Saturday Night Live.

Hanson also performed on Meet Hanson, their own ABC special, A Christmas In Washington, and Arthur Ashe Kids Day.

Awards shows they've appeared on include the MTV Movie Awards, MTV European Music Awards, the Grammys, and Nickelodean Kid's Choice.

The boys have hosted ABC's TGIF (I know, that was a joke), SNICK, And The Nominees Are..., and Fox Kid's Saturday.

CNN, CBS News, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, In Concert and many '97 end-of-the-year specials all featured Hanson.

Along with those appearances, they were asked to appear on the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, Billboard Music Awards, the RuPaul Show, Barney, the American Music Awards, and of course many others. Some we're glad they refused.

They've displayed their acting abilities (whatever) on The Weird Al Show, The Tonight Show, The Late Show and Saturday Night Live.

Countless articles have been written about Ike, Tay and Zac, and I am not talking about just those teeny-bopper mags. No, they've been featured in bigger magazines such as Rolling Stone, People, Billboard, and Teen People, gracing the covers of Seventeen, Request, US, Disney Adventures, USA Weekend and Entertainment Weekly.

The band's first single, MMMBop, was huge in '97 and since then they've had three more radio hits.

Not many bands actually have an album certified platinum, but both Hanson's Middle of Nowhere and Snowed In were. Middle of Nowhere was certified multi-platinum and has sold over 12 million records.

Over a dozen unauthorized Hanson books have been published, over a hundred-fifty thousand fan websites have been set up, and hundreds of fictional Hanson stories can be found on the internet.

They've been nominated for many awards, including Grammys and Blockbuster Entertainment Awards, and won several major awards.

MMMBop took first place in Billboard's Online Music Awards, and Middle of Nowhere was also voted first in the Album category.

Hanson has made few concert appearances in the U.S. since Middle of Nowhere was released in May, mostly doing small promotional type stuff, but thousands of American fans have shown up to see the guys perform. A huge crowd saw Hanson's short acoustic set in Charlotte, North Carolina in the Summer, where a few girls fainted when the guys took the stage. An estimated 15,000 people were at their concert in a mall parking lot in Kansas City, and an amazing 30,000 (!) people filled a mall in Columbus, Ohio for a twenty minute acoustic set.

Ok, so you're thinking, "Fine, lots of celebrities have had similar success." But how many of them have accomplished all of the above in less than one year?!
