Free Space and News

01/29/02

Seeing that I have all this free space and the only thing that will fit here is text, your stuck with the later. The band is not
playing right now. Not much more to report than that. Mike and Kyle are doing some thing else but no news yet as
to what it is or if it will matriculate into anything. I continue to write and play music and have some new songs.
I'm anxious to put them on tape and get some feedback but that's a couple months away at least. I'm working
on putting the whole Blockheads CD on this site in MP3 format, the problem is that the MP3's sound like crap. Get a
new CPU so you can download WAV files or else your computer is getting old and outdated anyways. Thanks
to everybody who requested Blockheads songs on 92.1 FM. I never thought I'd live to see and hear such a
kick ass station. From now on, JAN 29, 2002, I will be using this page to expand on ideas that I get or have and
respond to feedback in E-mails or the message board so respond. For now I will try and update this page
every month. JB

Kyle and Mike are now in an active project called Have You Seen Her. I've only heard some rough cuts but it's
shaping up to be great so as soon as I get some info I'll put it here. I have been playing with Mike in another
soon to be named band. We will be releasing an EP by the end of summer and might play a few shows. In other exciting
news, I'm now a dad. Little Sarah, was born on Feb 19, 2002. It was a miracle! I also have been doing some
independent music on my own now that summer is here and I have 10 or so minutes every now and then. The world
looks different nowadays with goons and kooks on every corner so watch out! I'll post some new music on this site either
from the bands I mentioned or other music I like. JB

It's been awhile since I wrote in this damn journal, I hope I can still remember how to use HTML.I'm updating the links page to include the Have You Seen Her page or just go to the HUSH page yourself.I didn't get to see her but if you want to check them out there is a shows section on the site.I spoke to Mike today and he seems very excited about a new project he's doing with the Underhills frontman Tim.It's called A Special Guest. Evidently its going to be very artsy with all kinds of techno fills. Just kidding. Its going to be kick ass rock and roll so we'll be looking for that sometime soon.If you haven't seen the one step beyond skate video from adio shoes you're not alone. But if you like to watch the best skateboarders in the world you should go check it out at your local skate shop. There is a Blockheads song in it towards the end.In the meantime I have been writing music, newspapers, magazines, and stupid papers. The basist I had is now married, Good Luck Matt. Screaching Weasel broke up, Is Joe Queer next? That's it for now.

Nearly a year since I've written in this damn journal. It's getting worse and worse like a reverse pendulum in Physics class only the intervals are getting longer instead of shorter. Oh well, Blockheads have some new stuff it should be about 12 or 13 songs hopefully done by this December. If anyone is reading this then they have stuck around, thank you! New sounds format is MP3 and there is 2 old songs off Braindead in there. A new site is coming soon also I'll link it here. If you haven't heard the Riverdales are back together and they Kick Ass! The new album rocks go buy it. On a similar note the label in which the album is on,145 Records has just picked up the Underhills. They rock so go check out all the links and so forth. Rock is here to stay so go cry if you don't like guitars. JB
