::How can I involve myself with
the band?::
Tone Fetish, like any local band, is always looking for
people to help promote. And yes, it's fun. They're more then
willing to hang out with fans too. Yeah, sure, they're all big rock
star types, but go ahead and strike up a aconversation with them.
::Where did you guys get your name?::
No, it has nothing to do with Tony's name.
Grillo and Tony were exchanging differant names, and
it just hit them. They had another canidate, Vinyl Forest, and realized
it was too hard to say. The name now respresents the band's dedication
to the individual sound of each element in their music.
::Where did you guys meet?::
Grillo and Tony have been friends since kindergarden,
and so had been jamming ever since they learned their insturments.
They also learned what it was like to suck with their previous band 2 Blue
Shoes. Mikey and Tony are cousins, and Kevin a friend of Mikey's.
There was actually a time when Kevin was in the band and Mikey wasn't.
Mikey was then added as a "seed for the future". They had already
anticipated Grillo's retreat into the college life needed to fill that
void, plus Mikey is the man for those bad ass backing vocals. Beauchamp
was a friend of Tony's with the skills to pay the bills and so he was one
of the first recruted members.
::What's gonna happen when Grillo and Tony go off to
college?::
Grillo, sadly, hung up his Tone Fetish hat and coat but
the party must rage on. They will not be replacing Grillo. The leads were
picked up by Tony, and Mikey and Erin fill in a little on rythym guitar.
Kevin, Mikey and Mike will be going nowhere as they are youngins.
::What are the songs about?::
Mostly girls, though one is about conformity, and one
about God.
::How are your songs composed?::
Tony generally writes the lyrics and melody. He
then goes to the rest of the band, and they go from that.
