The Seminole High School winterguard was started by Jim Kegler and Micheal James in 1991. Since that time the winterguard has successfully competed in the Florida Federation of Color Guards Circuit as well as Winter Guard International Regional and Finals competitions. In 1993 the colorguard placed third overall in WGI?s Scholastic A class championships. The winterguard continued on and made finals in both 1994 and 1995. The winter guard took the 1999 season off and is now are now ready to compete in the 2000 season.

The Winterguard has overcome many challenges and is ready to return to the exciting world of competition. The winterguard rehearses close to 20 hours a week, and competes on the weekends. They will be performing to the music of Leonard Bernsteins "On The Town" as well as a monologue by Carol Channing called "Housework." The performers will show the audience how to work and play at the same time. The girls will give a theatrical perspective to the task of housework while executing a difficult equipment and movement book.
