The Youth Asylum are six bright, talented young men between the ages of 13 and 16 who have burst out onto the scene with an uncommon style of pop sensibilities. They represent what's good about music, the world we live in and the future we can look forward to. A world that is muli-ethnic, in harmony and rainbowed by hope, incredible talent and goodwill to spare. The members of the Youth Asylum are Derek(13), Donnell(14), Flashlight(14), Jason(16), Kevin(16) and Leo(13). Their music is engaging, hook-laden and resonates in your heart and soul. Encompassing tight multi-layered harmonies and individually stamped step-out solos, their big-pop sound is seasoned with classic R&B, and rap. The Youth Asylum serve up accessible pop at its best and friendliest.
Their first single, "One Choice", has been touted as evidence of the emergence of a new super-group. This summer, The Youth Asylum, toured as the featured acts at the Tommy Hilfiger Young American Fashion Shows.
