Jenna reviews May 4th, 2001 - Nashville River Stages

I went to this show after school one day with 4 of my friends: Karen, Kristine, Chanen, and Marissa. It was a hour and a half to 2 hour drive so Karen's mom drove us up there and we were staying in a hotel that night and then driving back the next morning. So, we went up there and FFF was gonna be the first band we saw. They (or he, which is correct?) started and 5:30 i think so we got to the place just in time for the set. We went to go in and the guy told us we couldn't bring cameras in. Marissa had already gone in cause she didnt have a camera so she couldn't come back out. Chanen was the only other one without a camera so she went in to wait with Marissa while we figured out what to do. They were frisking people with cameras so sneaking it in was out of the question. We (me, Karen, and Kristine) finally decided to hide our cameras in the bushes in front of the Hard Rock Cafe. So we got in just as John had started singing "Easy Tonight" and we ran to the front. He also sang The Last Great American which was really great and a few others. We went to the signing after the concert and he signed my CD cover and my little FFF flyer. He also gave me a hug (I slipped him a Lincoln as Kristine would say...). Thats about it that happened that night FFF related. I guess it's just another story to tell our grandchildren, as Kristine would say. But then again, Kristine says a lot of things.
