AGAINST ALL ODDS - Chapter Four
Dr. McKenzie and the nurse helped AJ back onto his feet and led him back to his bed.
Without speaking, she picked up the clothes that he had thrown across the bed and walked
over to the closet, hanging them up.
Staring at the woman, AJ found himself still trying to digest the reality of the situation
he had found himself in.
"I realize that this is all a shock to you-----"
"What’s the date?"AJ interrupted.
"It’s Tuesday, Novemeber 12th.," the doctor replied.
"Year? What year is it doc?"
"November 12th, 2002."
AJ’s eyes darted around the small, empty room. "Will you call my mother and the guys?"
The nurse approached the bed and started to fuss with the covers. "You need rest now, it’s
late."
