I MAY WED AGAIN, SAYS MACCA
By Chris Hughes
Sir Paul McCartney says he is coming to terms with the death of wife Linda - and may re-marry.
The 58 year old former Beatle was devastated when his partner of 30 years died in 1998.
But now Sir Paul says he is planning a new future.
He has been dating TV presenter and model Heather Mills, who lost her left leg in a road accident in 1992.
They met at The Mirror's Pride of Britain Awards six months ago.
Asked if he might marry again, he replied, "You never know. I have no qualms. But life develops and I might.
"I feel better than I have felt for a couple of years but what they don't tell you is that time heals by erasing.
"In one aspect I want to be as close to Linda as when she was alive but the healing aspect is the other.
"You do eventually have to say: 'This is the brief; all our relatives will die, we will die'
"And you know, we have just got to get on with it."
Linda dies after a long struggle against breast cancer in 1998 and McCartney has found life hard without her.
"Thirty years is a lot to get over. She was a very powerful person in a quiet way, very impressive.
"I talk to my kids and they say what they miss is just coming into a room and feeling her prescence."
He says he has returned to art as a distraction.
"Painting for me now is trying to get to grips with what life becomes when you lose someone like that."
